Neal, Derek and I have the Aerocatches fitted, not as neat in a way but 100% effective!

Looks neat Richard.
I think it suits the pre 96 cars as they have the alloy bits and bobs on the body each pin has a 130lb rating so I would say they ain't coming off in a hurry.

Do you think the vibration may strain the fibreglass causing cracking ..in the future

Daz there is no vibration the pins hold the bonnet down nicely, one thing I will say is the threaded pins could do with being 1/2" longer for a bit more adjustment to get the bonnet level in the corners

Mine have plenty of adjustment, maybe different pins as I went with the locking type.

I like the look and idea of these, very nice.
I wonder if they would do reduced cost if we could get a few bought at once smile
Just ordered a pair for my car, as I had the bonnet lift at 135mph last year, and am going on the same track day this April.

Two things:

Cost for a pair is $44, plus $25 carriage charge = $69 = £45 at the moment.
Cost for five pairs is $220, plus $25 carriage = $245 = £160 = £32 a pair delivered
So there is a cost saving if you bulk buy, in the carriage saving, though you will have to factor in posting them to the individuals and don't forget the import duty and VAT.

The quoted delivery time is three to four weeks, so order early if you want them fitted before your first track day.

What otherside? There is a pic of the underside of the catch, I just drilled a 2 mm pilot hole through the bonnet and onto the inner wing to mark it, then just enlarge the hole to suit.
A couple more piccies

They cost about £60 all in including £16 import tax cos the came from the states

Just a reminder to the bulk buyers - there is import VAT and possibly duty. The VAT will be around £7per pair, plus a handling charge possibly of about £7 to £10 I think. Just saying that whoever stumps up the payment to the supplier will also have to pay this tax bill, so should be looking for around £45-£50 a pair from the others, not forgetting to uk onwards postage.

Mine actually arrived in about 7-10 days, because they weren't pulled out by Customs for VAT charging. So total cost just the original £45.

Is anyone organising the bulk purchase?

A larger consignment is more likely to get "pulled" ? Negating some (all?) of the savings scratchchin

Exactly what I was thinking.....I have had small packages pulled before. It's not the VAT tat irritates, it's having to go to the sorting office to collect it and the pay about an extra £10 handling charge. On a £1000 ECU you wouldn't mind, but £10 on something costing £10-£50 is bloody irritating.

With any luck they won't bother to charge.....
