Hi everyone who knows me, I am 60 next week and to celebrate I am going here to do what is being done in the video link below, I was going to drive in the chim but it's too loud for Switzerland. If I don't come back does anyone want to make an offer on my car and I will give the info to my brother who will be coming with me

Got room for one more? Haha

But on a serious note I got a stock silencer/exhaust you can borrow if you want to take the Chim,

I go to Switzerland in my very loud Griff at least a few times a year no problems just lots of annoyed looks..

No limit unless you are registering it and then the same as all over Europe.. 95dB..

I have heard Lester's car - sounds like about 195 dB ears

i was speaking to a guy, called phil? looks just like Damon Hill, at hilton and moss open day, he is a sports car writer/author. he lives in switzerland and warned me against going in a loud car as there is a good chance of being stopped by the BiB

I should have thought owning a 500 would have provided more than enough opportunity for a violent death to satisfy most men.
Clearly you are not normal Lester (or you don't do enough driving)

When my son was about 13, I got him a season pass to Thorpe Park.
He told me he spent the whole day there riding all of the biggest, fastest, scariest etc.
I said something like; "don't any of those rides make you ill or something after all those hours?"
To which he replied; "After 5 years riding shotgun in the TVR every weekend, I don't think there is a ride in the world that can scare me. They're all kind of boring really.".

Have fun Lester smile

I am sure that if someone wants to go over there and act like an idiot then it won't go down well and they will probably get nicked for something, with or without noise.

I dare say that someone like yourself who is sensible as you obviously are (see above hehe) wouldn't have any issues at all.

The endless tunnels and decent roads might prove to be a little too much of a temptation though cloud9

Thanks Goatee
yes ive scared myself and others a few times :-)
but not doing enough driving ?
i used to go mountain biking most nights until i got my TVR and then i put on 2 stone whilst the bike gathered cobwebs. i have evened it out a bit now and do a bit of both and i have lost the 2 stones.
i will definately take the TVR abroad either this year or next though

Just to confirm, i will be doing the same jump off the same bridge, and the more i look at it i think,
its a TVR jump, no ABS, no traction control, going too fast to stop properly, out of control again, and the prospect of leaving giant skid marks lol i just hope the equipment wasnt made in Blackpool and that its held together with more than glue

Good luck Lester and have a great time smile I'm getting a whizz round Silverstone in a 360 and an AMV8V for my birthday this year.. bit tame compared to your exploits though (specially as they'e both slower than the Chim...in a straight line anyway)

Oh, and come back in piece please smile
