Right, the thread 'Tempted to buy a Chimp' has led to a discussion regarding the nick name of our beloved Chimaeras. It's my view that the word 'Chimp' is a derogatory term instigated by the girls over on the Griff forum, and that we should not acknowledge this aspersion in any way. There are however a number of Chimaera owners who appear to embrace the word 'Chimp', and think it is an acceptable term. So, what is it? Chim or Chimp

Unsurprisingly given my PH names both past & resent I dont have an issue with "Chimp". It's just a fun nickname, no reason to take offence. My Wedgie mates call me "The Chimp", amongst other things Good old fashioned banter if you ask me & I don't see a problem with taking the pish out of myself

Chimp suits it, it's a good laugh and a bit of fun, but then I haven't spent a small fortune making it into something serious...

I'm really sorry to have started off on the wrong foot on the forum.. I did genuinely mean it as a term of endearment. Whatever they're called I still think they are stunning pieces of moving artwork.
I definitely didn't mean to offend anyone or cause a fuss..
