this weekend will be doing big brakes on the front (280mm) and going to see about getting megasquirt made so I'll soon be able to give the council a figure.
Gets treated how they should though, rear tyres got replaced this weekend, i've done less than 1000 miles? frown
If it was up to me, you're in biggrin

Dont worry Daz is working up to that behavior as he's already kicked off tonight. laugh
Bit sensitive the moderators are when we have someone useing Piston Heads for free advertising which is against the rules !! thats all im going to say !
I'm sure the mods will be on his case for the advertising, but he's new an seems to be doing fine work restoring these cars so might be worth cutting him some slack,
Now back on topic

Right, before we get too obsessed with horse power and whats a project and what isn't, I'd like to quote the words of our founder....

'The first rule of the MCC is we dont talk to Griffers about MCC. Not for the cars with levens stalks and act induction kits only. For the nuttier owner who has took it to another level'.

In my humble (somewhat self appointed) role as MCC Mod, I would suggest that the 'other level' our esteemed founder refers to is anything North of 300bhp. Naturally I stand to be corrected. Talking personally, North of 350 would still count me in whistle
everyone now a days is obsessed with BHP, too many episodes of Top Gear I think, we should sort some track days next year and see who can win with some corners thrown in

No mate I haven't touched the engine yet, to be honest I have no idea if what the previous owners told me is true. One way to find out, that is the project for winter, strip and rebuild, going up to the place in Ripley to get a Megasquirt done, might try to run up there this week to have a chat with them

Personally, I think the sole entry criteria should be a requirement for a power curve still climbing at 6.5k...... hehe

How did i miss the start of this?

OK first of all thanks to Chili in getting the ball rolling on my rather excellent idea.

I think we need to set out some criteria as to who can become a member but exceptions wil be made in 'special' cases.

I would have said 400 bhp+ would guarentee membership and the 350-400 would be reviewed on other merits.

I think we need Daz in the club as every club needs a mascot or maybe a jester jester

Blimey, I've just seen this, obviously ben working too hard, late in the garage last night and here at work in the real world frown.

What a great idea!

An even better idea is getting all that power around some twisty bits, that I will enjoy seeing as well as taking part!

I vote, (as a non-commissioned member) that someone organise a Spring T/D on a nice easy circuit for you boys to properly let it rip!

I'm hoping to have mine ready for mapping next week and after runing in and using it next summer, go the single turbe route, (did I say that out loud?).
