Is there also a club for those of us who haven't modified our Chimaeras at all?

I suspect that I might be not only the founder, but also the only member!
Goatybill founded the original original club... he hates all things modified... wink

And just to add, Qbee started a mildly modified club, but it didn't get any members... Apart from which he's now discovered that his previously 'adequate' 300bhp isn't and has accordingly joined the dark side.... or cheats as he once called them wink

I soooo fancy an LS transplant... scratchchin

Turbo is just so.... council.... whistle

The FI was done whilst doing the rest, in order to cure my one issue with the car's performance on track days - being baulked by photocopier salesmen who cannot corner, but have an M4 on the company car scheme, so can outdrag me on the straights. ??

Thats the spirit QBee. And welcome to the dark side.

Car having its post-running-in oil change tomorrow, plus an 044 fool pump fitted. Clutch already upgraded.

I need guidance from the club members now to help me qualify to be a member - which do I do first?
Polish it to within an inch of its life, including engine bay and chassis?
Or oopgrade the EeeCeeYou and get it mapped and graphed?
Votes please.

PS, my grandson routinely accuses everyone of cheating. Like all 8 year old boys, he cannot bear losing at anything competitive...

Thank you, oh expert one.....Emerald and mapping booked for the first two weeks of May. thumbup
Oil change and fuel pump were done as planned (noisy, aren't they, those Bosch 044s?), now looking forward to the time I can use the full rev range again.
Polishing planned for Sunday morning, plus a thorough clean.

Time to update this old thread.

Hopefully some of you who have been fitting superchargers, turbos, nitrous (dodgy derek DangerousDerek) etc can post up their graphs and details of their major modifications.

For those not familiar with this "club" - The Modified Chimaera Club - needs a minimum of 350 bhp to join. Or so his Lordship, His Highness and Driving God, Chilliwhizz, has decreed. wink

As much as I have been proud to be Chairman and founder of this club I may have to hand over the honours to a suitable replacement.

I think its time to start a new club the MMCC

The Mega Modified Chimaera club will only be open to those that have modified their Chimaeras to stupidly ridiculous levels. This club starts at 500 bhp.
Barrie Piper turbo
Neil Bailey twin turbo LS

Shame Mac sold his, are there any more out there?

I will soon be joining this elite club, watch this space

Mine made 337 BHP last time on the rollers, but that was about 3 years ago.

Since then its been decatted, with a Clive Y piece, ACT exhaust and various other minor mods. The mapping is also much improved.

Next job is to fit this:

What do you reckon? in whith a chance of 350 BHP?

I reckon so Nick, last mod I made (after pretty much everything else had been modded) was a Clive Y, which let loose another 20 plus horse power (same rollers), which was very noticeable as soon as I drove it....
