I'm happy, I had mine professionally mapped
I would like to know a bit more though, especially as I will fit larger injectors later!
Will you be data logging Peter? I would like to know a bit more though, especially as I will fit larger injectors later!
Derek, I've got my current map in a file, I'm just trying to work out how to load and display it... Once (if) it's done I'll give posting some of it a go

I just had it open in Mega tune on my car dedicated laptop and took a screen shot then trimmed it in Paint and saved as a Jpeg to a flashdrive, then put the flash in my works desktop and uploaded to photobucket then copied the IMG link. Checked my settings last night and the Advance table is virtually identical to Daz's table you posted earlier.
One thing I did notice looking at my logs from Sunday is that on deceleration, from the cruise area of the map with the high spark advance, my the engine runs very lean with the AFR sensor out of range i.e. > 18.9, which it didn't do on the fuel only map.
Not sure if this is an issue but for the time being I’m going to richen up the fuel map in these areas.

If fuel cut is enabled on the over-run AFR will run off the WB scale on closed throttle (providing you have it enabled of course) Derek why the fk are you using Megatune geezer? Tuner-Studio is where its at either the Lite version or the paid for one which I highly recommend by the way for the money Phil Tobin charges for this software its a no brainer IMO you don't need to uninstall Megatune but I doubt you will use it once a TS convert see here http://tunerstudio.com/index.php/tuner-studio Alex likes it too ..... alot

Like i already said, its what the free laptop Neal gave me had on it.Works ok for now.
I downloaded tuner studio the other night to my laptop but it doesnt have a serial output so i aint tried it yet. Also looks like it needs a lot of setting up.... or will it just take all the current settings from my ECU ??
I would definitely try Tunerstudio especially the paid version which allows you to use the Autotune function. The latest (beta) version also has a warm up wizard, although I haven’t tried this yet.
I’ve had good success in the past tuning the VE table using a combination of Autotune (in TunerStudio) or VE analyser Live (In Megalogviewer).
It Should be straight forward setting up a new project. Just create a new project and input the basic project configuration. When you connect to the ECU it should give you the option to load the ECU settings into TunerStudio. Bit of a write-up here.

I would have thought that Tunerstudio would use the same serial or USB connection that you are currently using with Megatune Although I might be wrong on this.

Fair enough Derek just trying to help, you should be able to use your existing serial to USB interface for TS i could have done this for you at Peters if i had known Works ok for now.

When you lift off and overrun you don't need any fuel at all and you can in fact unable fuel-cut which shuts it off completely. If you richen it you will just waste fuel.

Just found a pic of Daz's ignition map that shows an obvious hike in advance in the low load cruise areas. We all know Daz gets about 40 mpg so maybe worth a little copying i think
The spark table needs more work .It could be worked on higher up the rev range..I`m very frustrated not knowing how to tune the engine ! I want to use the auto tune but i`m clueless.
Should the current tune come straight on the screen once it`s plugged in ?
Who is tuning Alpha N TPS or Map ?
When does it go from open to closed loop ? and how would I know if the lambdas are cslibrated without comparing them to a rolling road .
How can the megasquirt be tuned for closed loop ? so many questions ..I want to go to Megasquirt school ..

No need to touch it ,no load on the engine ,my fuel is turned off on deceleration.. no pops and bangs .One thing I did notice looking at my logs from Sunday is that on deceleration, from the cruise area of the map with the high spark advance, my the engine runs very lean with the AFR sensor out of range i.e. > 18.9, which it didn't do on the fuel only map.
