I bought the V rated and having done the 2200 mile trip round Southern Germany, I am pleased with their performance. It's really difficult as you're comparing new tyres with old, so unless you have two new sets or two equally worn sets and try them on the same day, it's impossible to make a fair comparison.
Very true.
Maybe the difference one feels is just new v old tyres as much as anything.
As others have said it’s a newer design of tyre and on the one occasion when I hit standing water the tread pattern proved its worth as the car cut through it which astounded me as it was possibly 6-8 inches deep and I felt the car lift as the water pummelled underneath of the car.

t the life out of me as it was dark, a car coming in the other direction and I didn’t see the water until the last second,,,, I think I’ve tried all the tests I can one way or another
