I bought a set of the new drop links from Racing Green. Cheaper than Leven and supposed to be a redesign.

They were fitted the same time as my coilovers and I have had no rattles since (only 500 miles though...)

So why do they rattle. Can understand they are rose joints. I dont think formula one teams would the same problems..
I'd say the Formula One teams bin them and use new ones after every race weekend.

Received the Mondeo ones today.

They look really good quality but are about 12mm shorter.

What looks good is that they have a tight swivel at both ends rather then just one and relying on the rubbers for a flexible joint.

I hope to receive my Monos back from a service before the weekend and so can fit both.

Report to follow.

I haven't received my mondeo links yet, but the threaded bit looks long enough to make a thick washer / spacer to make them the same length as original and if they fit are a better option than the aftermarket stuff at a fraction of the price, all sealed and ball jointed at both ends. It's a no brainer! Glad my spot has interested some! Can you post a pic on here when fitted? Cheers....

Here you go, £40 for both. The originals on my 21 year old Griff still seem OK.

Pop to your local Ford prats department with the old one in your hand (and the drop link in your other hand whistle )? That's how I got my gear lever gaiter

I wasn't joking actually. Asked the right way, nicely, for their help, and with the car itself outside, I found they all got down to it and searched until they found something suitable. But that's a random one Ford parts department, and you must deal with loads of main dealers.....

Well, there seems to be more than one good Ford parts dept, the lad at my local dealership is excellent and helpful,I use him for a lot of Ford/TVR parts. Obviously it's helpful and quicker if you know what car the bit comes from plus I get all that luverly employee discount. woohoo
