Just had a measure up I can get the bottom of the car 7ft high before it hits the boot and bonnet ,the roof is pitched so higher in the middle .
Where do I get a lift and what type ,can you get them single phase ? Does the floor need anything done to it ?

Sometimes you must think, 'where did it all go wrong'.
Quite the opposite Mac, mostly it's gone right and the wrong things I quickly forget about, that's man thinking for you.No 3 son is a qualified mechanic so it'll get used, in fact I'll probably have to arm wrestle him for "ramp" time

A bit of work over the last couple of days.
I have often said how rubbish the standard seats are and a recent spirited drive down Surrey lanes had me sliding around but more importantly, bouncing around like Dazs "nodding dog" syndrome!
Soooo, the recently purchased Elise MK2 or some such seats had to go in.
It wasn't easy as the roll bar obstructs the outer edges of the seats, (these seats are wider as well as more comfy then the MK1 seats).
I adapted the lower home made seat frames, bolted them to the seats and with a lot of jiggery pokery mounted them in the TVR time honoured fashion of bolting them to the thin fibreglass floor with penny washers, I'll definitely sort out some floor reinforcement, (something else added to the never ending list).
Anyhow, a test drive reinforced my memory of the other car, driving is now a pleasure, what a difference!

They look good Peter. Got a set of these seats in the garage from the VX220. How is the position? Height and backrest angle in the TVR?
About 2" additional headroom with these seats, a bit more with the MK1.Backrest angle is perfect.
I didn't fit the runners as they won't fit in width!
