Yep, gonna keep them.

I just bought a set of 4 RL7s x 17" x 8" and 2 RL7s x 18" x 9" from a griff owner.

The 18"s are like new!
Loads more choice with 5 stud ..

I had a good result at Surrey RR yesterday, 356 bhp, 390 torques and perfect fueling.

Interesting as this engine was built about 7 years ago, (even though it has done only 3K) as to how it compares with a similar 5.5 engine built at about the same time for a griff owner, Topsparks I believe.

I found his graph a few months ago.

You may have seen Ians, (RoseyTVR) graph built for usability but again not dissimilar but approaching the concept from another angle, (throttlebodies). Was it a 5.4?

I got to say, Ian TBs look the business and win the pub pin up!

Thanks Peter - mines a 5.2 and whilst the throttle bodies and cross over manifold look the part (IMO) I am now thinking turbo/sc!! and unless I go twin I dont think I could use them.

I must keep off this website as it seriously damages the wallet yikes

Could post my last dyno for comparison if anyone's interested biggrin I have the reverse of most of you guys, more bhp than torque, (all down to the cam) and the torque is very progressive, you all have much higher low rpm torque figures than I have... probably a good thing for me, I've got quite a heavy right foot biggrin

Everyone seems to have more torque than horsepower, am I the only one with more horsepower than torque?? scratchchin

Don't think the figures are printed on this readout, but was just over 360bhp and about 355torques... as mentioned earlier, most RV8's seem to run higher torque than bhp... If I keep the revs through the gears between 3.5 and 6k it's quite quick, but I dont have that low down huge torque that you guys have.......

Hi Chilliman, what cam does that have in it please? Even though mine is leaner than a vegan fasting for weeks on end, it has loads of low down torque. I think mine is a MC1..

Interesting graphs Richard.

At 6K we're developing about the same torque and power.

Cam wise yours is developing more torque as the power rises, generally speaking.

Mine has more midrange, possibly due to a milder cam.

What heads have you?

Can't remember my cam, H404 or H414? H404 I reckon scratchchin .....shout Rob.

Soooooo, ours should be fairly equal at speed on the track.

It's one of Rob's bespoke grinds, described as somewhere between a Stealth and an H404!

Peter, they're my original TVR 500 heads, ported to V8Dev stage 4 spec, plus bulleted guides and 3 angle valve seats smile

As for being fairly equal at speed on track, I suspect your greater torque and superior driving skills will have something to say about that biggrin

I am just pleased that we three will all be on track together. I volunteer to passenger with you if you would like the first couple of times out, Richard, just to talk you through the lines, braking points etc - that's if you want a passenger. If not I won't be offended. I know Peter is not keen on passengering - nor am I at full speed, frankly, but I should be safe with you driving..... whistle

Richard, considering your cam is as you say and mine's an H404 then your torque figure doesnt make sense to me.

It gives you very good results but I'd just like to know why?

same rolling diameter ANAD as my 235/40 18s, so that won't be a problem. Depends if they are too wide.....Good luck
