I would love to do Cadwell again but a 470 mile found trip for a sessioned TD just isn't worth it .

Great track though smile

I was pretty pleased with my RR results. I know these figures are nothing to get too excited over in comparison to some of the graphs that are being posted, but this is a relatively standard 500 with an ACT induction kit, decatted with CliveF Y piece, standars exhaust, running green tune resistor.
My main reason for having a run on the rollers was to check the health of the engine and see how she was fuelling, I am told the fuelling is pretty much spot on, but I would appreciate if one on of you knowledgable chaps to could tell me what I am looking for on the fuelling graph as I don't really understand this part of it.

That's interesting, are Austec now running a DD rolling road and not the MAHA one anymore, or is it just the printer paper!

Beastie is waiting for the baffled sump to be fitted and a new set of sticky tyres before venturing back on track. This has been delayed due to my erratic work schedule, ill health, and a time consuming garage purchase smile

I also have another fecking flat battery, which is Daz's fault.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Chilli smile

Nice shaped Graph - but why do the power and torque not cross over at 5250 rpm?

The whole point of the equation is: Horsepower = rpm x torque divided by 5252

Just an observation as the "majority" of the posted graphs have the crossover at 5250 - there's couple (Kevd & MGJC) who's graphs do not match that criteria and they have rather "good" or better-then-good figures?? Is this an Operator interpretation or am I just a Sceptic, or have i missed the point of a Chassis Dynamometer??

Another bucket of worms............confused

They do - notice the scaling is different for the torque and horsepower lines.

Yea you do.

However, forgiven as it is an epic graph though, looking forward to seeing it at snetters.

Oh god. I really should have stayed out of this thread. I should probably make a new thread (another!), however this is probably a good place to ask initially.

When my car was mapped (not entirely sure how, if a chip was used etc, I wasn't there), the tune resistor was removed (well, the 2 wires were cut and I have the little yellow sheath with resistor etc in the passenger door pocket currently). As above, I have no precats and a sleeved exhaust. Am I right in thinking this resistor shouldn't have been removed?

Since I've had it back, it has run brilliantly, better than ever, EXCEPT when I restart it after having used it that day, not even when warm, it starts, runs for a few seconds and then dies. If I rev it, it catches and idles fine after that. Would that be related? Or do I have an air leak around the plenum (lots of Internet reading!)?

Two separate issues here IMHO.
But what do I know?

1. If your lambda sensors are still in, you don't need a tune resistor.

2. The stalling on re-starting is something to do with the mix of fuel left in the system from the previous run, the ECU and the stepper. Blitz racing will know the precise answer. I doubt it is the stepper - i think you would see the stalling more frequently.

Was up to about 415bhp on earlier runs but we were losing a bit of boost by the time this run was done, I think heat build up was causing the recirc valve pressure relief spring to weaken and bleed boost pressure at higher revs... Will give it another try after some mods, but going to drive the thing a bit first!

Thanks. Sounds like new thread time. smile

1. Pretty sure they are, but will obviously check to confirm.

2. I did actually have general idling issues, and in the course of fixing that, the stepper was replaced. In the end though, that was fixed with a new ignition amplifier. Sounds like I need to plug in the laptop with Rover Gauge to start the diagnosis.
