Every build will depend on the spec you choose, what I have spent is my own business. But it's only money and you can't take it with you so get out there and enjoy it ??
I`m not asking you how much it cost , I would not do that . But cost is a factor if you go for it or not .Yes its only money but most people do not have that type of money . I could have one built but it only leaves me with 200k in the bank and three houses so do not want to be skint .
What is new what is reused ? steering etc

I chose to go all new, leaving me a complete rolling chassis etc to sell on just keeping the old body and interior. Although I did find some nice Tuscan seats which are a bit more supportive than the old ones.Yes its only money but most people do not have that type of money . Steering rack on mine is Impreza running off the LSA pump which makes it nice and light.
But I would think you could reuse as much as you wanted to.

That must be a keeper . I`m wondering if they sell a complete rolling chassis. Does it feel completely different to drive ,handling wise and steering feel .

Lovely car! .I`m surprised you did not take the car to the NEC.Steering rack on mine is Impreza running off the LSA pump which makes it nice and light.

It is a keeper. Went to Blenheim but haven't been to any other shows yet.Lovely car! .I`m surprised you did not take the car to the NEC.

Hopefully will be out and about a bit more next year, currently using it as my daily drive to work at least until the roads get icy anyway!

Just wondering how you got another 100bhp out of the LSA engine ,I thought they were 550hp .Hopefully will be out and about a bit more next year, currently using it as my daily drive to work at least until the roads get icy anyway!

Nothing special, just better exhaust manifolds and intake. No internals have been changed and those figures are on ordinary unleaded and with GM ECU setup nicely on the rolling road. But from what I can gather everyone gets better figures than GM quote with a good installation.db484bhpv8 said:
This is what i want next in mine.
Any plans to visit a drag strip? Would love to see itat the shootout at the pod next year.
Yes I would like to take it to a drag strip and maybe try some track days, sprints, and hill climbs.Any plans to visit a drag strip? Would love to see itat the shootout at the pod next year.
Although the car is probably more capable than my driving a talents so it should be entertaining!

My LS3 is said by GM to make 430 brake......... on the same rolling road as Mark's it made thisWhich is the best way to go? crate or have one built with better parts ,Ive read the LS crate engines have weak areas and can be built to a higher standard than crate ,well that`s what an lS British engine builder told me .
Are the lS crate engines built by GM at there factory ?
The LSA does not have forged pistons ,I thought that was the norm for forced induction .

You make a very good point, and are absolutely correct. At the stage of the build when looking at engine options I was comparing the pros and cons of either going LSA (readily available but quite weak), or maybe Essex or A series (both extremely strong and powerful units). Thinking about it now I have probably made the wrong choice by rushing into things, but you live and learn I guess. Are the lS crate engines built by GM at there factory ?

Are you having a bit of fun ? Essex and A series are old engines .MarkTVRchim said:
