As title.

I really must get rid of the standard seats!

I'm 6'-3" tall, normal build and I find even for road work these seats severely lacking.

They have little or no lateral support, the seat base is springy, the seat back short and the headrest position a joke.

Chim and griff seats need to be narrow at the base that's why I am told, the MX5 seats will fit

Sooo, your feedback and a few piccies would be appreciated.

I still reckon for track use, I will bolt as Elise seat in place.

If your wondering why I don't fit a pair of Elise seats in as a permanent fix, well me wife thinks that the standard seats are so much more comfortable then the Elise seats in my old chim!

Well, I know Elise seats fit in the Mk1 MX-5 so I don't see why they shouldn't. Not a lot of help I know but worth mentioning I thought smile

Thanks for that Daz.

Do you know who's car that is?

I'm guessing that they might be a tad short in the back as I'm not!

It would be good to try a pair, I suppose I could just sit in a MiXer scratchchin

i've got them in mine (pic above)
simple swap, get the ones with speakers in the headrests it makes a massive difference after swapping the originals for some better ones.
I bought mine cheap on ebay, about £50 a pair, in horrible tan colour and used a furniture clinic set to cover them.
I need to take some foam out, I would do this at the start, I didn't know about it until after I fitted them. People call it a foamectomy I think, look online there is loads of info, it makes them hug you a lot better.
Fitting was pretty simple, I used the original runners but had to drill a bolt hole in each one to line up. A bit of metal from the bottom of the seat had to be chopped out so the runners fitted properly, 5 minutes with an angle grinder.
Then simply bolt back through with original holes
All in all a cheap and comfy upgrade.

I'm 6'1'' and find the seats perfectly comfortable.

I have more issue with numb hands/fingers on long drives. More to do with the angular door pocket and lack of lateral arm movement than the seat itself...

I'd fit Audi A8 seats if I could.....

....... By which I mean that the three most important factors to me are comfort, comfort and comfort.

I like the look of the Odessy seats, but would have to sit in them for an hour before buying them.
Which means a day driving to Telford and back. Well worth it.

They often pop up at shows round the country, I've bumped into them 3-4 times now, NEC, Stoneleigh, Sandown etc

They will even stitch QBEE in the headrest for you
