Both lovely looking seats.....

BUT the top ones have a fixed back position, like it or loathe it.
The bottom ones look lovely and the backs recline, but the seats don't work IMO with a 4 point harness.

Ring them, they will customise them

You need them solid so they don`t collapse in a crash.waste a time having an harness with reclining seats.

I like the standard Chim seats...a lot. I am not as tall as Peter. And I find them really comfortable. I do 12000 miles a year on the road in my TVR, 1500 miles a year on the track.
I will try some clip in 4 point harnesses for track days first to see if they are sufficient to stop me bracing myself with my leg on corners.
If not, then it's try MX5 seats first, as they are plentiful and cheap on EBay, Porsche Boxster, Lotus Elise and a trip to Intatrim

'misteradz' (has a very long back so OE seats v. uncomfortable...) has recently fitted MX5 seats and is very happy with them although they sit a couple of inches higher so slightly more wind bufetting.

That last point about the seat sitting higher is interesting, and may be of interest to the OP.
I am only 5 ft 11 these days, but on track, with the roof on, my crash helmet is very close to the targa hoop and the roof. I don't have a problem with the roll cage because mine is far enough back in the car, but others may if their roll cage is further forwards.

With standard seats and no crash helmet, my hair skims the roof so helmet on is a non starter!

Very old picture at one of my first TDs with standard seat giving a Noddy appearance!

Newly acquired today, thanks Iansmile.

Complete with runners from an Elise 111S.

I have the choice of the higher or lower seat mount and runners as for some reason only known to Loti owners they fit both!

I'll fit the lower ones to the drivers seat for max headroom.

Black seat is chopped about very old Elise seat that I bolted in for the last TD.

These seats are superb on the track and this model has the extra bum padding, probably the "Lotus Touring" spec laugh

As for the colour, I might have a go at dyeing them, interior is dark blue and cream, not exactly a match!
