I do like them...
And they are cheaper than having my TVR seats re-covered....
Comments from anyone who has fitted them are welcome.
Not fitted them but have sat in them for about 20 mins, I'm 5.8ft and 11stone to get a idea of my build, if was honest I wouldn't want to be much bigger ( especially on the ass) but other than that, comfy, decent support and very lightAnd they are cheaper than having my TVR seats re-covered....

Are they odyssey or odyssey II? I got quoted on a pair of odyssey II recently, the measurements suggest they will go in but would like to see some fitted. I think the narrower ones might be a bit snug on my butt.Alexdaredevils said:

I"m 6’ and 16 stone so I hope you sat in the I's rather than the II's as the II's are slightly wider. I think I'm going to go to their showroom this week as I'm (sort of) passing that way.
Although I'm 6' I have short legs and a long torso so find that I'm hunched up in the standard seats. I also slip all over the place even just driving on the road.

I have a bad back, but recline my seats a bit and love the standard seats.
So for me it's 4 point harnesses first, change the seats second.
My biggest dread with buying seats unseen is the same dread I have buying a new bed - might seem ok in the showroom, but a few hours on them and you really discover whether they suit you, sir, by which time you are stuck with them.

Im the same, 6.2, long back short legs... Std seats are awful, very interrested in odyssey II but hard to try them out in Oslo! Very interrested to hear your opinion on themI think I'm going to go to their showroom this week as I'm (sort of) passing that way.

No problem. Edited by OleVix on Sunday 15th December 13:14
I plan on going up this week but not in the TVR just to try them out. (Edit: bad back means I can't get up there at moment so will go up there early in the new year)
If I like them, I'll drive the car up in the new year just to check they fit (although the measurements suggest they should). Intatrim have advised that they take about 3 weeks to make them from ordering.

I had a read up on the MX5 seats. The mazda forums don't seem to be a good source of info but the TR lot have come up trumps, plus a couple of other posts from here. There is guy in Hampshire who supplies them for £425 re-done in leather and will try and match colour if I send him a sample.
He talks about the ones with the removable head rests and speaker head rests. The ones I am looking for are the blue ones posted in the Griff picture earlier in the tread. I just need to find a car now and ask someone if they mind me sitting in them!

Who's the guy in Hampshire? I'm in Hampshire and it's something I'm considering. He talks about the ones with the removable head rests and speaker head rests. That's the guy. Seen these he's sold recently, would look good with blue piping

So, what's involved in getting these to fit? Much modification to the subframe and/or seat belt anchors?

That's the sort of seat I am looking for, do they recline though as I like to be quite upright (so I can see over the dashboard!!).You can always tip the whole seat forward on the mounts if not

I will have to look into it a bit more, but as that is definitely the kind of seat and support req, that also looks good.
