Fell over a pile of rubbish I should have thrown out months ago.
Went to the tip with aforementioned rubbish to ensure incident cannot be repeated.
Went to pub for a pint as was sufficiently shaken up by earlier falling over to deserve a pint. Or 2. Which became 4.
In summary nothing was achieved in the garage yesterday. I may try again tomorrow.

Swapped the rear pads out and they were very well used.
Did the job with the correct wind in tool etc... Reassembled and the hand brake doesn't work. Looks like the ratchet mech has brocken in both the calipers. Cablr is moving fine. Pulling levers on calipers fine. Just not moving the pistons.
Luckily have spare calipers so will swap them over and send these ones off for a refurb.

Does it just need a few brake apps to get things back in place?
Odd they should have both failed?
Brakes are working fine. Did some stops and light dragging. Handbrake system just not working on both calipers. I am assuming that both mechs were working prior to the pad change.Odd they should have both failed?
As I have spares I'll get Tamy on a ramp and strip the whole lot back.

Fitted a pair of 300mm Reyland two piece brake rotors to the rear (use standard calipers on nicely milled and anodised stand-off brakets), only to have it very ably demonstrated that I have a rear wheel bearing on the wane... sigh
Looked at those and they look nice , what's the matter with the wheel bearing ??phazed said:

Did this a while ago but forgot to post it here.
Seatbelt top mount extenders that allow the belt to run freely without running on the carpet. The belt now extends and retracts very freely and swiftly. Also this removes the awkwardness of folding the lowered rear roof section over the top mount covers
I also fitted some guides to retain the belt in an accessible position

Managed to fix the headlight control box, make a new cable to replace one of the crappy ribbon cables to the headlight switch and found a dodgy connection on the immobiliser which is hopefully why it hasn't been starting reliably. Time will tell.
All getting it ready for Silverstone Classic on Saturday. Hopefully will fill her up tomorrow and wash her.
