Put lots of shelves up, tidied up and being a good neighbour and having some spare sound deadening from lined the walls with it, just before I make the car louder that's is

Err, nothing..............suspension units accidentally sent to Glasgow.

Nice sunny weekend, nothing to do then look at my car suspended in the air looking more like a boat with no suspension or wheels.....................confused

Just made up and installed turbo oil feed line from engine, incorporating tee for temperature sender, and dedicated filter. About to do same for return... Still pondering PAS rack lines.

So last night, contemplating my Nitrons that got shipped to Glasgow, (not Surrey!) I decided to fit my set of a Monos that had just been returned from GAZ, (returned to them as valving wrong and they were rattling).

Fitted springs on dampers and units to the car in record time, (I'm a dam pro now!).

Wifey and daughter up at some ghey musical so as I hadn't driven the car for a while, set out on a 3 hour drive to the south coast, South Downs following mainly country lanes with roof off.

Great drive, Monos performed impeccably and were quiet!

So when the Nitrons arrive, I can repeat the procedure and swap dampers again. No wonder I dream about suspension smile

Given how pleased you were before with the Monos it must be tempting to not bother with the Nitrons?

True enough but I'm commited as I have bought the Nitrons already.

Shame they had problems as well, spoilt the experience really.

Anyhow, as we all know, time cures all!

Spent another 10 hours today cleaning and polishing bits, its a knackering but I quite enjoy it, should really get an electric polisher though. Paint stripping loads of bits that were sprayed purple for some reason then polishing the alloy as it was badly corroded. Might actually start putting her back together after painting the chassis tomorrow.
Had the sisters pup to keep me company, and get in the way

Hmmmm... why is it the expected to be easy jobs are anything but? Real battle to make up and fit turbo oil return this afternoon. On and happy with the run but turbo will have to come off again to tighten as there's no way on earth that mutha can be done up in situ (turbo end)! irked

Awwww, look at the lil puppy cloud9 He likes you, he's got his lipstick out hehe

Got a little bit bored earlier waiting for food to cook so dug out the left over epoxy mastic paint stuff from the chassis and painted the wishbones Alexc1894 kindly supplied me with. A mate gave me a wicked tip to get all of the waxoil off, left them sitting in his parts washer covered in degreaser for half an hour and it all just wiped off. I never knew degreaser removed the stuff so easily thumbup

Still waiting for the bushes to turn up, I guess I was being optimistic seeing as I only ordered them on Monday frown

They will be the prettiest things on the car when I finally fit them.
