How many of these do I need for the centre section that hold the exhaust off of that tray. That's just one isn't it, they go together to make an egg shape?

Been on my to do list for weeks now. Lazy rolleyes

They sit on each side of the brackets on the exhaust and then a bolt passes through the entire lot, as per the below:

Hope that helps smile

More than you can imagine, because I'm not entirely sure that I stuck what was left of mine back in like that after I did the clutch. They were all split and rotten anyway, but I don't think my attempt at bodging them has helped the rattle hehe

Fixed fuel leak - regulator seal. Replaced bulkhead brake pipe manifold - dodgy threads. Had new stainless braided clutch, full front brake (to replace copper) & rear flexi hoses made up at Motorsport Engineering.

Spent the evening joining the dots... the dots being hair-drier outlet and charge-cooler inlet. Why does no-one make alloy pipe with 50 degree mandrel bends?

Know what you mean about enjoying looking at the car's nether regions, but it it does serve a useful porpoise. I was just loitering under my car two weeks ago, while Mat was just doing a 4-pot alignment on my nearside front brakes hehe, and I spotted a newly split drive shaft boot. Good job, the car is six months away from its next swervice.

Finally finished 5 months of body lift chassis refurb today!

Did loads of other bits at the same time - brakes serviced, coolant changed, new stainless chassis bolts fitted, fixed some niggles, four new Bridgestones, wheels refurbed in "shadow chrome", oil changed.

Anyway, five months off the road and it's great to get back behind the wheel!

Had intended selling but now I'm not so sure.....

Bloody ThumbSnap! biggrin

I'm not fixing it! That would be time wasted that could be spent driving!

Oh, and worth adding that despite five months off the road with the fuel tank and cooling system removed along with various other bits, she fired up first time and ran as smooth as ever. smile Love it!

I did have to take a hammer to the seat belt reels as they evidently don't like being mounted at anything other than horizontal. So far that's the only issue I've had - let's hope it stays that way!

Goodbye stepper motor & housing, I think with the cam I intend to use this will just get it's knickers in a twist and cause inconsistent idle & low speed issues so it's gone yuck and my defaced (that's why they was cheap) TVR rocker covers modded for a pukka PCV valve system scratchchin no more updates I am still waiting for my heads ..

Why blank it off totally??? Assuming non-14CUX / stepper you still want vac line for the FPR and a line into the plenum for an idle valve.

Typically I just put a hex bung in the stepper hole & fit a Ford/GM idle valve in the throttle-stepper housing hose (clipped under the throttle linkage bracket).

After seeing a couple of RV8's without Dave I really cant see the point its not like I begrudge holding the motor on fast idle with the throttle for a minute on cold start (dont forget mine is used warmer months only) its hardly permanent I can reverse quite easily wink I have witnessed a couple of RV8's that run nicely without (Phazed's cars) and running a rotary style valve would mean altering my MS as its configured to drive a 4 wire stepper only and quite frankly I cant be bothered scratchchin but if it dont work out then the Bosch rotary style gets my thumbs up thumbup the two brass nipples at the back are for the FPR and my MAP sensor smile

Obviously a man who knows, just reading through the thread I'd hazard a guess you have a similar arrangement. wink
