What did you do in the garage yesterday?

If it's flowing from the plenum to the charge cooler Daz, I'll have put the turbo on backwards... But, yes, it would be technically possible to combine the two functions. Just way more involved on the fabrication front than I wanted to go. Why not show us how you'd do it?
I would incorporate the air con some how .After many months of backward and forwards, there is a good possibility that I might be exchanging contracts on the house front This whole thing started off around February, had survey done end of April... and everything crossed, if we exchange tomorrow we could complete by the 11th
So, the reason I'm explaining this is that after many years without my own garage, I'm (hopefully) about to be proud owner of a double garage with workshop attached, and a small and very old but rather charming cottage somewhere down the other end of the garden..
And I'll finally be able to join in this thread

Well, over the last 10 days as I've been a bit slack.
Fitted a pair of stage 4 heads,
Fitted a set of these,
Got all that together and bought a 106 PS pump, remote reservoir and wiring loom. Had to move the position of the expansion tank to accommodate it.
Made up and adapted brackets, fitted pump and new hoses. Still awaiting a Joolz blended base,
I'll wire up the pump tonight and hopefully the car will be on the road this week.

I hope you've taken plenty of photos and notes ready for your detailed write up! Made up and adapted brackets, fitted pump and new hoses. Still awaiting a Joolz blended base,

All covered.
Can you give us a run down on what you have done to the 5.5 ? I`m aware you have swopped the heads and have had them refurbished .. can you spill the beans ..and what are you expecting ? I would change the crown and oinion to the 308 ,mine feels slower since changing the diff ,the time before gear changes are to short ,it would suit your 5.5 with all that Torque .

Okay, decent session this afternoon resulting in water feed to turbo installed and routed, re-jigged the cooling pipework to clear the air intake (was concerned about this as it's the tightest corner but really pleased how the ACT stainless swan neck I already had curves neatly around the compressor inlet with only minor revision of the hoses); and, best of all, think I have hatched a cunning plan for accommodating and feeding the air-filter without having to relocate the expansion tank or cut holes in the inner wing (at least for now). Also installed the wideband sensor in the down pipe with a really cool heat-sink from Innovate; absolutely beautifully milled from stainless.

Better heads + blended base and a little remapping.
I've junked the engine driven PS pump to tidy up the front of the engine and possibly gain one bhp and have fitted the electric pump.
All in all I hope to gain about 20 bhp and to move the torque up the scale.
As to gearing, it feels fine for normal use although it always feels that the gearing is too far spaced for the track.
