Looks fab but gotta be worth ditching that corrugated Hoover hose... yes
It is corrugated, sort of, not like the TVRoffering.

It's pretty smooth inside and more importantly, it's 4" dia.

Peter, just wondering (coz I've got to do it soon) how did you remove the triple? airbox then tb's then plenum?
Disconnect the main induction hose,
Disconnect the throttle position connector,
Disconnect the throttle cable,
Unscrew the 16No small Allen head bolts securing the CF plenum to the trumpet base.

You can then remove the trumpet base, secured by 6No cap head long bolts.

You'll need a cut down Allen key to get to those bolts as they are under the trumpet lips.

If you're fitting a single plenum, you'll need a new trumpet base as the triple CF base is wider, (same as the Vitesse twin plenum one).

Ok, my engine's only a shadow of yours, Peter, but when I was having lean running issues the fuel pressure was increased without solving it.
Went to Mark Adams, first thing he did was to change the fuel regulator back to the standard 2.5 bar one. Next thing he did was map it perfectly.

It would be interesting to find out if it`s money well spent .. Its alot of money if it does not make a .massive difference .

Its not going to give alot more bhp bit it might work more like having throttle bodies . is it noisy ?

Peter,

Noticed you are running the coil packs from behind the plenum, same as mine.

Just wanted to ask if you still have the plug extenders. I'm running without them just now, as recommended by Shaun at ms2tuning and have the thermal heat socks fitted. Without the extenders its a real PITA getting the leads on and off to check/change the plugs. so might revert back to the extenders, presume these need to be the non suppressed type?

That's what I have, non suppressed extenders and plugs as the leads are suppressed Excel ones.

I may still fit socks when time allows as I have on the 4.6 but that required removal of the lead ends to fit the socks as the socks were of the "non stretchy" variety!

Not happy with the AFR so think ill trailer it to Joolz.

Small throttle on a slight uphill in third, 16.5-17.0
Idle, 13 at 1,300 rpm
Full power, 13ish
Generally inbetween 15 and 16 AFR

I would never load the engine with a car that I knew needed mapping esp with whats under the bonnet!!

Looking forward to seeing what she does when mapped :-)

have you ran the auto tune in Tunerstudio? I've not used it personally but it's meant to work well and could help out with the AFR?

I would but can't find the lead to connect.

My laptop hasn't a serial port and I need the adapter that's been linked to the laptop, pathetic but true.

Been using one of these for the last 3 years now far more reliable than those USB to serial interfaces/adaptors no separate drivers necessary and no silly USB to serial flakiness most laptop have a card-bus adaptor socket and its a far more reliable way of flashing firmware etc wink if you've ever applied a poor/corrupted flashed firmware to your ECU etc you will understand why frownhttp://www.maplin.co.uk/p/serial-2-port-pcmcia-lap...
