Cheers guys smile

I can see light at the end of the very long tunnel at last.

Still plenty more to do but slowly knocking the jobs off!

Going to fit little wheels at the end of the exhaust tail pipes as a makeshift wheelie bar? silly

Managed today to get the body off very very happy, now the big strip. Start with loads of photos and drawings tomorrow.

I'd rather that then work.

In fact, I'm still at work frown

It's been very enjoyable up to pres. just waiting for the pain and suffering that I usually encounter when doing jobs on the chim.
But loads of time for that I suppose

Great stuff Neal - and there's me fretting about making a couple of openings in the horizontal panel behind the rad laugh

Nothing !!

Well technically today rather than yesterday, but the car has just been collected after a 2 year body off refurb for its MOT and check over bounce

Just need to wait now for the inevitable phone call... 'Well sir, this is broken, thats on backwards, this went out of production 10 years ago, I don't even know what vehicle this part is from' etc etc.

Strange seeing the garage like this now.

Making progress slowly. Felt good taking all that masking off and seeing the results. Still a ways to go yet but I'm in now hurry.

And thanks to the folks at furniture clinic for their advice when you're fine tuning matching shades of black. Mix a little of the black dye in with the satin finish really helps even the colours out thumbup

Pushed the button this morning - still need to sort MAP corrections etc but idled happily with sensible readings up to stat opening and fans cutting in; no leaks or ominous noises etc so happy bunny bounce

Nice to hear the old girl run again for the first time since April; maybe a teeny bit less loud but still very TVR sounding cloud9

So weakest wastegate spring in the world installed and a (very) tentative trundle planned to log some data but not for a day or two as no time frown

Only problem apparent was the charge-cooler pump circuit zeroing the charge-cooler temperature gauges when running for some reason (suspect they share a switched +12v feed and the pump is hogging current).

Let the fun begin...

Thanks Simon - no-one more surprised than me at how well it ran up. Will soon mess that up when the injectors get changed but at least I'll have a feel for what it's doing/going to do by the time I need more headroom... tiny steps
