Who is setting up the suspension for you?
Were you thinking of recommending someone Anthony ?
I was just checking that, after all that fantastic work he has done on the car, he was going to have a full four wheel alignment on a Hunter machine done by someone who knows TVRs and the correct settings. Be a shame to do a second rate job on a first rate car when it costs under £100.
As regulars on here know, mine was set up by Mat Smith Sports Cars, TVR specialists in Downham Market, Norfolk, and it handles fantastically. Others who have been there say the same. I have heard of Scole Engineering in connection with TVRs, so hopefully the OP will be as happy as I am. I was just trying to make sure he didn't go to a multi-site high street outlet.

I didn't like the thought of driving the car to far with the suspension all over the place. When you talk to the boys at scole they know there tvr's,i'm shaw it will be in safe hands.

Sounds good to me. For your info, you are looking for a full four wheel alignment on a Hunter machine, so no harm if you make sure that's what they are offering.

I was only pulling your leg Anthony, I also went to Mat for my full geo set up & corner weighting after your recommendation and it has made all the difference. My car wasn't too bad to start with but after my visit to Downham Market it's so much more predictable and easier to control. Thanks again for the recommendation.

Look good. I have a set of these in the garage that I'm in the process of cleaning up. Did you use a new seal kit before fitting? Also which size discs did you use?

Can these be fitted to the back as well as the front?

Cheers
Chuffy

Hi Chris
Removed and blanked all of the seals and piston, nipple and pipe holes
Shot blasted and then painted them with VHT calliper paint (bake in oven at 200c)
Refit the seals with rubber grease the dust seal is the fecker

The rest of the kit I copied from Mr chimv8
Pads mintex £ 24
Discs were £65
As for the rears I don't think any of that lot will fit
All in I have about a oner in the lot

This enginebay will need a good cleaning and some rust treating where the hot manifolds have gone over!

arent they four piston compared to just one on the original chim/griff setup? And with bigger discs... 288 instead of 260

Didn't have a chance to do anything, in the garage or otherwise, on my TVR.

Both my so-called reliable German cars are off the road with electrical problems and my only reliable car, that starts and runs first time, every time, is my beloved TVR. bow
