What did you do in the garage yesterday?

I had the same thing happen last year. Hopefully you can get the thread out. If not then see this thread.
Another thought would be to super glue a small nut onto the end of the broken thread and that might be strong enough to get it turning and out.

Although reading all of that made me glad that I just put the centre console back on and left it alone, there are almost certainly a few beers and hours involved in fixing that.

I bit the bullet and decided to lift the body. Engine already out. Today seats and belts out, radiator and fueltank out, most is disconnected only the centre console, gearbox wires and handbrake left.
Going to order new riggers from Veerporten Technik, very good price compared to a couple of fog-island offers. Along with carpet set. And new seats from Intatrim.
Going to blast and paint the wishbones and loads of other stuff, have new polybushes. Enough work ahead!

I'm convinced the Road-menders Guild of Great Britain run one - I never seem to see any outdoor activity going on at roadworks.
They've closed a main route from Betchworth to Banstead way to lay a gas main.
5 months closure, a long diversion and hardly a man on site.
Watching a "World War 2 in colour" the other day. Towards the end of the war, when they were under pressure from all sides, the Germans were producing something like 4,000 tanks per month, (or was it the Russians?).
Point is, we're useless, no urgency!

Big pet hate for me is the person who has decided it takes 20 months to refurb two platforms at London Bridge. On the days I have been there since it happened last week, there are several police and 10+ people in hi viz jackets on the remaining platforms at London Bridge, and the same at Lewisham, dealing with the chaos of stressed computers and packed trains.
Don't recal seeing any work happening on the platforms though. Still, plenty of time left for that.

Sorted out an annoying squeak and a rattle, gave it a wash and then did the stupid thing of applying the handbrake. I mean, what sort of idiot would use one of those?
I can't be arsed right now and there's no way that a drill will fit in there so the rest of the tread had better be easy to get out or I'm going to use a grinder on the bd thing.
A bit of advice to anyone taking off their center console for any reason, check that bolt whilst you're there. Unless you've got a 90 degree drill you're never getting a snapped bolt out of there without damaging the thread, don't let it happen to you I can't be arsed right now and there's no way that a drill will fit in there so the rest of the tread had better be easy to get out or I'm going to use a grinder on the bd thing.
Anyway, cut it off and stuck a new nut on there..
Bish..
Bash..
