What did you do in the garage yesterday?
Discussion
Started the wheel recolour - cheap work around until I can buy new wheels and tires to fit. Just had new rubber on so want to make the most of them.
Did the rears this weekend and will do the front next weekend. How someone in another thread said they did all in 40 minutes I've no idea. Took me that long to get the car onto axle stands for the rear and get started cleaning the wheels up to take the paint...

I had a productive day on a friends ramp. I got the leaky diff topped up, scraped the chassis and treated (need to follow up Dynax)and spotted a leaking hose from the newly fitted water pump and so replaced the jubilee clip.
I also glued some new elephants ears on, sorted the drivers well carpet out and resealed all the bits and bobs under the bonnet.
I then took it out on a celebratory 60 mile ride, which was definitely my favorite bit!
Next up is the hot start fix.

Removed and repaired both manifolds

Finished and fitted my home made decat Y

Hi Joe, what brand of paint have you used on your manifolds, looks very tidy indeed.Removed and repaired both manifolds

Started to clean this up after eventually receiving one... The first one I bought went for a Yodel :
I now have to start thinking where the hoses fit and get the bracket welded to piece of flat steel so I can attach it to the inner wing where the expansion tank is currently residing. I also put new seals and a piston in these:

Mine came with it's bracket which I modified and bolted to an ally plate which was bolted in turn to the inner wing.
Cheers phazed. I have the bracket too. I removed it to clean it up. I was going to mig it to a plate, but will explore the bolting option when I examine it a little more.got the body off and lo and behold, rusty riggers!
Can someone tell me the best way to remove the top and bottom balljoints from the front uprights? I unbolted them at the wishbone end...
Are there any mods I should be doing to the chassis while the body is off? Its getting blasted clean soon and then its new stainless riggers from Verporten. I will make some metal seat mounts on the new riggers.

Spent (likely wasted) the day installing new VDO dip tube fuel sender, and then draining tank and re-filling litre by litre to set up digital SPA gauge, only to discover gauge likely not intelligent enough to cope with the VDO's reversed resistance sweep compared to the TVR sender. Seriously unchuffed if worst fears realised after I have a proper look at the menus tomorrow when the tank is filled... yet another thing SPA perhaps forget to mention in their literature
