Remember don't use any sealant of any kind, just everything clean and smooth.

I do like the oil neck and cap option , the old orange cap lookin tired
And screws straight in , about £15 for both new
You can get them from Rimmer bros or e bay...
Link please? I have seen a new orange cap on Rimmer's website, but wasn't aware there was an alternative set up? My orange cap is knackered.

You can cut off the orange plastic and polish the alloy.

Just found a piccy.

I had to remove the raised neck as it fouled the CF plenum.

You change one thing and it has a knock on effect on something else!

Thanks Peter for the gratuitous engine bay porn on a Sunday morning!!! laugh
And for unintentionally pointing out that I really do need to get my rocker covers painted.

Installed refurbed front wheels with new T1Rs (going almost anthracite), removed and delivered rears with new T1Sports to refurb outfit (Wheel Clinic in Northampton doing a sound job), polished stainless wheel nuts to try new red nylon flap wheel from Race Retro event yesterday, polished discolouration out of turbo-Y... came in as cold and rainy. brrr!

I have just started a body off chassis refurb. smile It's the Wife's fault for buying me a borescope for Christmas!smile I had to use it somewhere (the borescope that is) and decided to inspect the outriggers.
The front ends going back to the centre cross brace looked ok both sides but the rear of the outriggers going forward to the cross brace looked bad both sides.
There are at least 2 holes on the offside from the outrigger seatbelt mount backwards and the rear belt bracket - that bolts through to the wheelarch - is delaminating with corrosion.
The nearside outrigger seatbelt mount is also delaminating with corrosion, I didn't see any holes but to be honest as soon as I saw the state of the mount, it was decision made. yikes
Target is to have it finished by October, in time for my annual RAF reunion.
Is it ok to keep posting on this thread or would it be better to start a dedicated thread?

Once you know where to locate them it's ok.

The standard 10mm nuts are easy to undo IMHO. A flexi ratchet spanner is your pal.

Spent a good few hours fitting a nice new throttle cable. Why is it that, what should be a relatively simple procedure, can be so frustrating due to good old fashioned TVR access...

Fuel tank leak next weekend. Yippee !!

Yep, thats what I'm hoping for. Extremely strong smell of fuel whenever I open the boot and I can just get my hand under the tank on the offside by the outlet, carpet feels slightly damp.

Crossing fingers that its just the hose.
