Ey thankyou.....

I find that having the splitter fitted underneath, plus tightening the bonnet catch, stopped my bonnet flapping (and popping open at 135 mph)

I've lost probably half a dozen TVR style splitters over the years... I think brute force and ignorance is now called for so have nailed it shut smile

Hi, just started the process of building the chassis back up, 'twas in the garage this afternoon and rebuilt one of the front assembly's. When I put the top ball joint in the wishbone it doesn't have full range for camber adjustments as the casting of the ball joint hits the wishbone, anyone had this sort of issue? I'm hoping there is enough adjustment when I get it set up.
Are there some tips for setup just till I get it somewhere for a 4wheel alignment?

Did you note the geometry measurements before you took it apart?

This morning a weedy but important little spring rated at a nominal 1.5 psi was swapped for a slightly sturdier but still conservative one rated at 3 psi... and a resistor was added to the fuel level sender circuit to hopefully encourage my SPA gauge to sort its act out (looks promising at last)

Moved compressor and gubbins to the bottom garage and connected up.

Marvelled at the small engine of a 1.2 Polo that my son was renewing a head gasket on............it's tiny!

I didn't, I just thought I'd take it for alignment after it was tested. I think its mainly the castor I was curious with. I tried the old ball joint in the wishbone and it also had limited movement in the slotted camber adjustment

On mine, the cuved part of the upper balljoint sat very close to the upper wishbone and the castor shim (8mm I think) sat in front of the balljoint.

Just creeping up on it Mac - with the 1.5 rated spring in a 46mm wastegate, and with the boost controller wound in a turn or so, it was logging consistent 3.6 psi boost levels without any nasties apparent apart from I was running out of headroom on the original injectors. Now got some 440cc jobbies in albeit still at 2.5 bar on the original regulator for now, so will be interesting to see what's occurring now. Can say there's no lag, none hehe

Well Andy, the quality may differ a bit between mine and yours ,but then again I am not a sprayer by trade . I think mine are more than good enough to thrash around on trackdays .biggrin As my wheels were 2nd hand, I have just covered up some nasty kerbing marks and got rid of the burnt on brake dust .
