Hi, moved onto the rear and was wondering if it's recommended to put a bit of red hermetite on the CV joint to hub and diff to try and stop the grease leaking?

There is some leeway in the height within the bracket, haven't closed the bonnet yet but will adjust to suit when I do. thumbup

I'd hate for you to go to all that trouble and then bosh it through the bonnet! yikes

Was this a mod for looks or does the new tank offer a performance advantage?

Very good Gary laugh

It's not a new tank as I didn't want to muck about with the set up too much, they're just covers for both the tank & the cap. So it is indeed just for show biggrin

Today I have mostly been blinding myself in bright sunlight with reflective foil tape. :-)

But it's done the job.
Another step closer to an MOT :-)

Now it's time to wip it's backside
Nice, I need to do that.

Can you tell me the spec of your rose jointed turnbuckle & here you purchased it please?

Thanks, Dave.

Did something similar to this a couple of years ago but used replacement LED number plate lamps instead of the strip. Same effect though.

And that's Mk1
Mk2 different bottom bolt
Long m8 into the water pump/stat housing
Then turned down to m6 for the rose joint
So the bottom bolt is multi tasking
Water pump bolt then becomes a spacer
To get it in line then a m6 bolt to receive the
Rose joint and nut hope it makes sence Dave

Nothing mechanical at all today; instead, tidied a couple of grot spots on the body where the clear-coat had broken down and paint oxidised (ultimately will need a re-spray but not whilst I'm dropping spanners on it). Quite pleasing what can be achieved with some 1500 grit wet and dry, a couple of rattle cans, and some G3 compound on a cheapo Clarke dual action polisher. Quite therapeutic smile
