Pulled all 4 suspension corners apart

Then cried after realising how much its going to cost to put it back together the way I want

Hi, do you have your engine running now, haven't seen many posts recently?

There's a coincidence - so did I.
Swapped fronts and rears over, moved the springs around
Happy with the result.
Did it myself, but thanks to Mat for use of ramp and advice.

Also fitted a kit car seat - less happy with that result.

See, you're slowly getting hooked on this spanner twirling mlarkay; gets addictive you know yes

What's the story with the seat?

Yes, I enjoyed taking the dampers off, removing the springs, then reassembling the right way round. Very satisfying.

I bought my TVR as a fun fast road car, and to do track days. As I have got better as a track day driver, I find the standard seats don't really hold me on corners, even with four point harnesses as tight as they go.
So I decided to find some seats that would fit the brief, ie ok for journeys, but fit for track use.
Tried race seats - pain in the arse, but I am 61. Tried Elise seats, just didn't get on with them.
Bought a pair of seats out of a Robin Hood (Westfield type kit car, and I do live in Sherwood) from EBay for £2.20, fitted the Chim runners to them and fitted them in the car. Bit more of a pain getting in and out, but possible, I just need a bit more padding for my back. I will post up photos, though they are apparently similar to Cobra seats.

Today I have mostly been blinding myself in bright sunlight with reflective foil tape. :-)

But it's done the job.
Another step closer to an MOT :-)

Did something similar to this a couple of years ago but used replacement LED number plate lamps instead of the strip. Same effect though.
Might have been your thread I followed to do the job, but when I checked the bulb holders they weren't very secure & the original bulbs had fallen out, which I why I went for the stick on LED Strip light... for a £1 on the Bay of Fleas.

But I did use a fair bit of the foil by sticking it to my fingers :-)

Cad & Colin, I have plenty of foil tape left, so don't bother buying it, just remind me to bring it over when I'm next over reviewing the Body Off... he hinted heavily :-)

Hi, since it looks like your taking suspension bushes out, do you know if the rear top upright bush is longer than the rest? When I measured the wishbone it was about 56mm and bushes seem to be 50mm

Back to metal-bashing tonight - oil cooler brackets shaped and attached to cooler. Just need to find a home for it now...

Today fitted these beauties (and without removing starter motor !) Both sides done but fitted n/s heat shield before taking pics, it's just a pity that the supercharger ancillaries will cover most of them up.

Just in time for Burghley.

Thanks Chaps, got a few scrapes on the knuckles along the way but quite satisfying really. Long, thin arms, hands and fingers certainly help. Definitely getting there now Anthony thank you, just having to do things in stages and take regular rest breaks. See you on Sunday.

Took both headlights out as one lamp had blown and couldn't be adjusted as the bottom adjuster had disconnected and the other side because I can't get the new cradle to adjust due to fouling. Was hoping to be at Burghl;ey but not looking like it'll make it.

Thanks cureton, made by Clive Ford on the Isle of Wight (Clive F on here). He also has a facebook page Clive F Performance PipeArt. They fit perfectly, definitely recommend using the ARP stainless bolts & nordlock washers.

Goes without saying that they look good - any other performance gains?
