What did you do in the garage yesterday?

Some more painting.....
This time the chassis (I can get to - with hammerite smooth) and the wheel arch (stone chip)
Also picked up the rear wheels from the powder coaters - oh my god - they almost look edible!! Put the news centre jobbies in to finish the pic !
Oggs popped over and dropped off the 888/887 calipers (cheers m8y) - errr - red not for me (rears have already been painted...)
And the Mrs dropped something off for me to keep me going!!!
Nosh

Noticed my near side door mirror had a nasty case of brewer's droop.
It been looking hung over since the night before the Castle Combe track day. I blame Phazed (again!).
Closer inspection showed that the previously repaired casting has snapped again, and I had been doing 120+ around said race track with the thing held on only by the wiring.
Took it off the door, completely dissembled it, replaced the alloy casting and rebuilt the whole thing. Alignment was no problem, getting that bd screw, the one that connects the mirror to the mushroom, tight enough was a major problem, one I have yet to solve.
Now going outside to tighten the driver's one, with my newly acquired set of star headed screw drivers.

finished off the workbench - new top made of sturdier wood (was ply) and also installed a vice that once belonged to my father in law who passed away a few years ago - glad I resurrected it; it was seized and rusty, and as you can see, it almost looks new! Really happy with the result - and hopefully it will be sturdy enough to put the new bushes in - hopefully!

Is a vice what you need to trim a bush? Nosh
Or the result of trimming one?
Confused now......
Just consulted SWMBO.
Mrs QBee says use a razor

Lovely jubbly that is mate, unique maybe? top draw Graham
Thanks Alun, I am very pleased with it. David Gerald has started selling them and I saw it at the Millbrook event a few weeks back. Looks lovely and actually (not sure how!) brings the red out in the Chianti Starmist paintwork. Hi Peter, the sax has been a bit neglected for the last week or so, but it will be used this week.
