Always amazes me how much your car dips and leans in the corners, I have a couple where you'd can't quite believe the rear tyres haven't lifted off the ground under braking lol

I never asked, did the rear arb make much difference?

Even the rain doesn't halt progress - and a make shift garage works for me....

The pax rear needs alignment a tadge.....

And onto the fronts tomorrow - wheels off to powder coaters - they are called Pristine Wheels; and their website is here and their work is fantastic!

The car? I swear it snears at me if I walk into the garage evil
I bet it does evil CAI are in Wales and the lead time is about 3 weeks IIRC and the number is 01639 732200 easy to deal with spoke to a pleasant lady who got the guy to ring me and it was done wink exact match for my installed dial. QBee the sender looks like 1/8 NPT will be putting it where the OP sender is and moving the OP sender to a bung I intend to drill and tap
They're going to do me an AFR gauge in their Smiths 'Flight' style ... comes out about £110.

Finally managed to assemble 300mm front brakes ready for installation. Calipers painted, carriers cleaned and painted, new M12x1.75x45mm bolts and spacers, pads and the big discs. Will post up a photo 'how to' once I've got one side successfully fitted. Hopefully...

I didnt fit mine but I managed to stop it working when I changed the dashboard and had to get the wiring diagram out to sort out what I did wrong!

Mine replaced the clock, rather than a fresh hole in the dashboard. In terms of connecting it up, it looks reasonably easy to wire in but the sender needs to be fitted to the y piece manifold and new fused connections back to the battery. There are some additional features/wires that may work with your new ecu.

Don't get too hung up on how the wheels sit in the arches Nosh, its how your wheels sit on the chassis that counts.

It's very common for the body not to be sitting 100% square on the chassis, in fact "a bit on the sqwiff" was the factory standard from new frown

Any tyre to body irregularities should therefore be largely ignored.

TVRs are a very very long way off rivaling Porkers on the fit & finish front wink

Went outside to fit the replacement brake light switch and promptly dropped the retaining nut down the only drain within a 50 metre radius. banghead

Spent two hours this evening running around trying unsucessfully to find replacement nut which I think is M12 fine. Can anyone confirm the size please?

Started the fuel hose replacement. Throttle assembly off and paint. Plenum off. Short flexi behind plenum (pressure regulator to U bend) replaced. Vacuumed around the injector bases, always hated seeing rubbish gather down there.

Just waiting for the postman to deliver bits to complete the job

Rocker covers off too, I decided to do a clean up job while I'm in there

I hope the build is going well Barrie.

After Curborough last week, I checked the brakes and refitted the road wheels.

Nothing else to do, the car is running like clockwork.

Changed one engine mount - need a new nut and bolt after finding them both cross threaded....

Cleaned and stone chipped the two front ARB brackets.

Discovered the discs I got as part of my cossie upgrade were the wrong discs - grrrr.......

Found the cause of my strange engine noise - tension pulley bearing gone...

Still common thread size Phil shouldn't have any problem locating some from a good motor factor they are nothing special just a bit longer tan run of the mill
