Absolutely nothing as I was at a TD yesterday, hooray!
Now car needs new tyres all round, new pads and stiffer springs, boo!
The upside is that I enjoy doing it, hooray again!
At Snetterton yesterday the old chim was just about as fast as a new GT3 but was lacking in the bends, much thought now as to how to improve the handling…………...
A bit extreme but how about those new chassis with the improved angles etc etc? Now car needs new tyres all round, new pads and stiffer springs, boo!

Hi Graham.A bit extreme in the pocket department but that would probably do the trick!
Trouble is, the chim is a bit of cruiser that with a few mods corners very well but isn't in the same league as the GT3, fantastic car BTW!
I'm thinking heavier springs and something that will keep the nose in on bends as it washes out when pushing on so you can only corner at a certain speed when more developed cars are on rails!
You should have seen this race Clio thing yesterday, the cornering speed was simply amazing and on 3 wheels as well!
What weight springs do you presently have, Peter? I have a set of 500 pound springs doing nothing in my mancave.
I had the same issue with a 2.5 litre modified MX5 at Cadwell Park - I pissed off away from him down the straights, only to find him right up my chuff after the next series of bends. I went for a ride in his car, and the speed at which he could survive corners was mental.
Same thing happened with a well driven standard Mazda RX8 on standard road tyres at Mallory park - went for a passenger ride, his speed around Gerrards defied belief, and as a consequence we were about as fast as each other over a complete lap.

Think your self lucky you don't own/operate HGV/LGV's in & around major cities in the UK as you'd now be forced to spend around £2,500 per vehicle plus special additional driver training on cycle safety and awareness! I agree that something needs doing but there is still no owness on the cyclist to improve their own road awareness, training, safety equipment, I use my bike where feasible but I do largely agree with you Peter!Richard 858 said:

Ever since the Olympics the place is wall to wall cyclists at the weekend. When I say increased numbers, I mean x 100 at least!!!!!!!
Riding 2 or 3 abreast down narrow country lanes and hardly anyone, (apart from seasoned van drivers) pass them unless they have half a mile clear sight line ahead.
And don't get me going about motorists who won't overtake a single bike when there is a double white line that they may have to cross, (which is completely legal, just read the highway code).
I'm done here, gotta take some tablets and lie down……...

Just fitted my new ACT air induction pipe.
Bit off a fight so I removed N/S headlight inspection cover and also unscrewed same side indicator to allow better access,,
I also removed the clamp that holds the filter in place,,, a bit of twisting and a dab of washing up liquid hear and there,, some arm scratches but it all went together easy enough.
As I no longer use an AFM I ordered a longer length of heat shield and it's a perfect fit.
Car sounds even quieter!!!
Ithe rubber is quite an impressive thickness so should last a few decades.
I thought it would look a bit nasty but I actually quite like it.
A good buy
