Jumped in after a few weeks of neglect, started with gusto (cheers accumate).
Not going into gear, any gear.
Clutch operation having no effect.
Switched off, locked up, jumped in the DeutscheBarge and went to buy some clutch fluid...
Almost certainly your clutch slave cylinder will be shot and its doubtful that just filling and bleeding it will be a cure. Not going into gear, any gear.

Indeed I had exactly the same thing and when I filled and bled the slave it worked - for a day or two and then peed all the fluid all over the garage floor.

Great!
Now I'll learn all about slave cylinder fitting.
I'd consider calling the guy you bought it from. Now I'll learn all about slave cylinder fitting.
Not to complain, but to ask him nicely when he last did anything maintenance-wise on the clutch.
He knows every inch of that car, and is a dab hand with a spanner

It's surely not that bad Ian,, missing your car by any chance?
What's the situation,,.
Its worse than not that bad!! 8000 miles into a brand new engine and:What's the situation,,.
Nearly all pads off rockers
Missing pads means the valves all get crowned
Swarf getss in the oil and knackers all bearings and shells:
Cam showing sign of wear
and crank needs a regrind, not to mention chamfering of the oil ways
As I said in my earlier post "went up the garage and cried"
Worst things happen at sea I guess so pretty relaxed about it, hopefully all being sorted under guarantee. Now I need a drink!!!!

I've done dozens of flat out TDs with standard rockers, no problems at all.
