The car is at the painters, just started to look at the hood which needs replacing, both the Central Panel and the back section which I want in dark blue.
Had some prices which all seem to be around the £380.00 plus VAT, but took the old hood to one and asked for supplied and fitted but was refused, saying they needed the car to do a proper job which was quoted £950.00 so looks like I am going to do it myself.
Any tips and advise very welcome

Finaly got round to getting the rebiuld done, thanks to Ron ar Insane Creations.. So much easier to set preload with adjustable pushrods.
Just waiting for the rocker covers to come back from the paint shop.
Gearbox has been reconditioned with the stronger fifth gear so should be ready to go with the Mcleod twin plate clutch and flywheel, which has been balanced as well.
New out riggers next on the list, these should be done by the end of Feb.

Checked Beastie's fluids, initiated ignition, reversed her out of semi darkness into the sunlight, relocated roof to boot, faffed about for five minutes, turned left out of drive, entered the NSL (No Speed Limit) zone three seconds later and engaged the warp drive
NSL easily visible from my bedroom window, it beckons every morning....(see below).... I love this time of year

Replaced the door card covers with smooth leather from Central TVR
Nice job ,where and how does the plastic membrane fit ? Mine are not in the doors at the moment .Will this cause water to go in to the electrics?

The membrane looks like this (on a Griff). THe membrane keeps the door card dry, the rubber sheet keeps the electrics dry...in theory at least.
Happy New Year to everyone.

Yes, very pleased, should go well with the new seats
Do tell - what are you having? Or have I already been told and forgotten?

I will be very interested to see them when they are fitted, and hear how comfortable you find them. Hopefully they will be exactly what you hoped.
I can add that I personally find most seats back-aching, but the Tuscan seats suit me perfectly.
