Very nice! I like the way you've done the breather pipe in front of the plenum.

What process did you use to polish the Y-piece and manifolds?

I used a prep wheel from screwfix, not cheap but does an excellent job of getting rid of the rust that was on it and then
it was a case of 120 grit / 320 / 600 then 1200 wet and dry before a final polish up with a polishing wheel in the drill.

A before / during and after.....

My first improvement tinkering for ages - installed a rose-jointed opposing thread tensioner bar for the alternator (JE bracket). Been lying around for ages smile

Picked some failed clearcoat off the bonnet frown

Continued stripping the front end down on the Reserve. Top plenum off. Thermostat housing off. One manifold off. Decat pipes off.

Going to try to prep and spray the ARB, steering rack and thermostat housing this week ahead of working on the car over Easter.

Dragged this lump out to make way for new clutch and rear main seal etc - was a tad tired after 134k miles so is now with Mr Reid at Grantura for a fettle. Can I just say a huge thanks to the monkey that decided it would be a good idea to put the top rear gear link pivot bolt in from the handbrake side - only took me an hour to cut the swine out. Cheers! mad

Battery died and the trickle charger couldn't save it, was planning on moving the battery to the boot anyway so bought some bits.. but any reasons that I can't think of why this would be a bad idea for a couple of months??
