Too many dozy drivers getting in my way these days, especially taxis so removed the front grille to change the horn and decided to give it some coats of satin black to give a meaner look.

Disconnected both original horns and then fitted a little compressor and big trumpet.

150 decibels should do nicely......evilhehe

Haha I have a 2 tone air horn set to go on my Chimaera too...did you run off the standard wiring or run a new +ve feed from the battery?

This horn uses one of the existing wiring looms so you can choose the left or right. Mine is 12v and the amperage is low so the original 10a fuse will do.

You can up the fuse to 15a if your compressor is a little bigger. If the power of the compressor is higher then I'd up the wiring accordingly.

The light purple wire is positive and the black negative if you have the same loom as mine. wink

FFS, as if piccies of ITB's wasn't enough I'm (We're) now being subjected to pictures of an immaculate example of one of my favouritist bikes... I nearly bought one of these last year but common sense (or rather the new extension) slapped me in the face.

Will this thread of temptation never end???

Brill thanks for that...I would guess its a similar compressor pump to the Ring 2 tone kit I have.

We need a video or audio clip of that bad boy in action ASAP please!

Hahahah, when I say selling it,, putting it I'm my mates showroom with an extorted price.
You don't want me to list the mods on this bike, removal of standard air filter and Alley bell mouth induction, roars roar roar,
Lowered, bigger but lower profile rear tyre, lower geared, proffesional job done by Norman Hide incl the Avon Linz fairing and tail tidy, this bike is unique as far as we know, about 10-12 % faster with bigger jets,,,

But mainly it doesn't drink oil or leave it on the floor.
Never ever been ridden in the rain, better than new.

Doesn't matter where you go on this bike, you'll make friends, be revered and thoroughly enjoy yourself,

That's before you fire it up,
I don't really want to sell it but "a mans got to know his limitations"

It lives in the house,, I look at it for hours and it provokes huge feelings of fun and reliability.
Modern Triumphs are really well sorted bikes and this is a typical example. Brilliant.
Not been started for 6 months, battery full of power and fired up instantly, little tickle with my stainless choke knob to stabilise tickover for a few seconds then she's ready to go, glorious glorious noise.
Anyway enough reasons why I should keep it!

I'm in a foul mood today, polished the thing up last night now really don't want to part with it, I had to literally stand and look at the bike, walk through the house and do the same with the Tvr and decide! Cars winning me over but only just.

Anyway ignore the bling Richard.

If this is your horn kit, then the compressor is exactly the same so original wiring with 10a fuse will be okay.

Managed to spend all day degreasing and de rusting all the greasy rust parts,
Stripped , cleaned and inspected the cv joints drive shafts and wheel bearings,
Cleaned the gearbox and diff ready for painting .
Oh and changed the fork oil on the bike and done the head gaskets on the other v8, but that over a week not yesterday

What did I do in the garage yesterday? Nothing.
What am I doing in the garage today? Nothing.
What am I doing in the garage tomorrow? Nothing.

No spare cash for what I need to do - body off resto, complete respray.
In the mean time the car is so bloody reliable I am just driving it.
It will pass 100,000 miles on the 24th, somewhere around Cadwell Park.
Just wondering how fast I will be going when I take the photo of the odometer clicking over. eek

Oh, I did check the tyre pressures, while pumping up the tyres on the rest of the family fleet. Nothing to do, TVR tyre pressures spot on.

Went to my local garage to drop my unreliable Saab off. Saw this, having an oil leak investigated.

I sort of got it as an investment Rich, for years down the road but sadly I can't look at it without fear and trepidation,
For the first time in my life I realise what's important and risking my life on bikes ain't one of them.

I'd fully decided and then spent last night with a bit of music on, seat, tank and panels off and a rag, carefully removed fairing screen just to remove 2 spots of dust. pig in st, my youth comes flooding back, it's very emotional.

I'll only let her go to a good home.

The bikes finished, replaced headlight bulb and nipped up a few screws, lubed chain, for anyone who understands the love of bikes, polished my swing arm hehe even the wheel spokes hehe

I should be riding it to the showroom,, but I just can't, not yet.

Letting go of a bike is tough, i think of going for one last ride,, but I'd be a blubbering mess or a complete nutter,,
Deep breaths,,, kin ell I havnt sold it yet. hehe

Without getting into the favourite bikes routine, I know how you feel.

Out of all the bikes that i have owned this was my favourite and I wish I never sold it. Sun bikes are to be used and sound on but son have true character

Just looking at it makes me smile ..........
