thats looks lovely, have you had the body off chassis restoration?, sorting out all the mechanics first and TVR's first attempt of powder coating a chassis
Was that question to me or to FoxTVR430? Edited by portzi on Wednesday 31st August 13:39

3k without the dreaded VAT,
then it looked about a further 5k for the chassis fully build with all sundries.
then 2k onto of that to rebuild your car fully putting body back on I presume.
So 10k fully rebuild, and thats without paint, interior trim, hood, no engine or Diff rebuild etc.?
After 12 months of Mbe Ecu I eventually got around to separating my plug leads rather than using cable ties to tie them up, using some cheap dividers, the offside bank is no longer sitting on the Rocker box but the near side will need more consideration.
I do like the bespoke lengths to the plug leads,, just need to buy another set of dividers and do them from the coil packs, it's tight but you can get at them without removing plenum.
We've had lots of rain today and the cars been parked outside, the coil packs being fitted directly below the wiper mesh and behind the plenum you'd expect to be wet from drips of water etc but happily I can confirm there bone dry

Like your under bonnet Alun tidy better than stock but not in your face I do like the bespoke lengths to the plug leads,, just need to buy another set of dividers and do them from the coil packs, it's tight but you can get at them without removing plenum.

Been a bit quite recently as I have been sorting a minor teething problem .
But all good now.
Original problem was a split behind the top hat liner of No6 cylinder.
Sooo,
Block welded
New liner fitted
Bores honed
New ends and main bearings as a matter of course
New oil seals
New rings
New mechanical M248 cam
New solid lifters
New timing chain and sprockets
Newly wrapped manifolds and Y piece
New McLeod twin plate clutch
Only about 100 miles of ring bedding done but car feels, dare I say, even quicker.
Seeing Joolz for a map tweak on Thursday so the proof of all this work, (and the lack of water in the oil) will be seen on the dyno.
We shall see......................
And following on from the "socks" thread.
New Moroso leads and sockets waiting on the bench but special tool required to fit coil ends, Simon

Functional and smart. I've come to love my grey plug leads, that old car look Simon Funny as I loved the bright red ones I put on the old XJ6 way back and I asked Dom for red,,, his face went cold,, hahah and talked me into the grey ones, I like them a lot now

So a serious block repair and engine re fresh, other than your time I bet this cost less than 2k easy
How's the new clutch,
Did that split result from vibration Peter or do you have no idea?
