What did you do in the garage yesterday?

That's a beauty!
I can never understand how people can polish the outside of the car to within an inch of its life and under the bonnet it looks like a corroded, rusty, dog's dinner .
Indeed it is I can never understand how people can polish the outside of the car to within an inch of its life and under the bonnet it looks like a corroded, rusty, dog's dinner .
Mine is going to be the opposite soon. Everything you can't see will be new or refurbished, and the body will be looking rather stty
(Winter/spring project - prep and paint body shell.)

That's very true.I can never understand how people can polish the outside of the car to within an inch of its life and under the bonnet it looks like a corroded, rusty, dog's dinner .
I've only had my Chimaera for just over two weeks but when I was looking I was often surprised by how unkempt and neglected some low mileage and supposedly pampered cars were. In particular some of the rocker covers were really grubby. I suppose you could say that it is because the cars are being used and not garage queens, but to me (and I know others may disagree) the cleanliness of the under bonnet area is a good indication as to how well the car has been maintained.
Anyway, here's mine. Not at the same standard as others but by no means a disgrace.

Helped Tuscandanni with some simple checks on his rough running Tuscan.
Other than some poor vacuum hoses / connections think it just needs a service. TBs were all pulling similar amounts of 'air' on the syncronometer. Connections all seemed to be fine.
Didn't hook it up to the computer as I haven't done it before and would rather learn on my car.
