Well it's not just talking bocensoredks about TVR's smile There will lots of other classic cars to talk about also.

No not £36.. £13.50 if you don't want to enter and look around the palace itself. If you do want to look around the palace including parking and the whole event then £22.50.

I thought you joined the club.. They offered free tickets months ago for Sun/Mon.. Monday being the busy day i think.

I have had nothing to do with the club yet i am a member . I`m not in to talking about Hotels . I prefer Pod the odd trackday and a laugh.

Not even been to a local meet . Just can`t be bothered because of a few which do not even acknowledge me .

You were at the GRIFF Growl though?
Its a bit tough if you dont feel welcome, but put a big note in your car with your PH name on and on a badge maybe and you'll soon get noticed. You seemed chatty enough to me to get yourself notice.
The Club meets are not really any different to any other.
There will always be a few in a clique that wont socialise outside their group. Been going to meets for 25 years and still some that don't acknowledge me.

Bit of a theme here.
Get your ass out and make an effort. No pain no gain.
Even I will be at Chumpfest.

What region are you in as it does not state in your profile? I and a couple of people in my region had similar problems with local clubs being newbies, not as far as being unwelcome or unrecognised but it was alittle awkward as they seemed to be more interested in having dinner than look at/chatting about cars and by the time we had got outside the light was disappearing.

I too prefer a laugh and a drive to enjoy my expensive toy.

You don't pay your membership for them to organise your monthly meet do you? It's more for the magazine and for people to run the admin and website etc isn't it? To be honest I have only been to one meet and I don't really use the site I spend most time on ph on Facebook Tvr clubs. You didn't say what your area was.

As I remember Langar is a grave car park, so if your doing burn outs around the cars are causing stones and dist to fall and and hit peoples cars, then its no wonder they dont want to know you?

Daz, if you make the Chimfest on Sunday I promise to speak to you for at least 15 minutes.
And if you've got a minute to spare, you can fit my new gas cooker as well!

Seriously, 15 minutes at least, whether you fit the cooker or not biggrin

Daz,
I think you need to look at your local tvr forum see what events are taking place then put your name on the list. Turn up with you folding chair with some cakes, buscuits and drink to share with others. Introduce yourself then sit down and keep quite and just listen rathering than talking. chill out and enjoy the day. If relaxing on a hot and sunny afternoon looking at sportscars is not your thing then maybe the car club is not for you?

Give the tvrcc office a phone call, they might refund your membership, or at least get 6 months back smile
