Big money? really? Which aftermarket ECUs do you get including loom and installation for, say, £700? £2.5K excluding VAT seems to be the going rate for a decent system (and I've seen far too many issues with Megasnot... all the professional rolling road tuners I know won't touch it. Apart from that, the choice of system is probably far less important that the quiality of installation and calibration).

I find it hard to fathom why people are prepared to spend money on a box of chips but not for someone's expertise and experience when it comes to electronics and mapping... I'm not adverse to wielding the spanners myself but this is one area where I'd like to have a scapegoat when something goes awry. wink
Granted 2.5k is a bit of money but many on here are capable of fitting these things themselves. I fitted mine along with making a new loom and had it mapped for not much over 1k. I`ve heard of people paying this type of money for a single session with Mr. MA.

2.5k? What are you smoking?

I'm getting a ms3 with loom and relay/fuse board ready to rock for under a grand

I'd like to see the 14cux out do ms3 with all it's features

Got launch control?
Flat shift?
Full sequential injection?
I could go on.....

The bugger maps itself, even self maps cold starts!

Nothing wrong with the Megasquirt when installed and mapped properly ,I had no choice other than to get rid of the rats nest and all the other faults like voltage offsets.

I had a thought, why not have a new install with the Emerald ,I`m over the moon with it ,tidy wiring and mapped to perfection .

What I do like is the confidence to go out and not worry about ether a electrical fire or breaking down .

It drives perfectly with no shunting and the ecceleration is awesome ,it feels more eager.

The cheery on the top is the three maps on a flick of a switch ..

1 full power
2 full power with pops and bangs
3 my super ECO map .

All the poor wiring out

changes maps on the move

Tidy loom

Bespoke leads
