This is with 16/17" wheels when I bought the car. It now runs 17" all round road wheels, all RL7s.
I definitely think that a dark wheel colour would suit the car.
What sort of price is a wheel colour change?
They look so much better on a ChimThis is with 16/17" wheels when I bought the car. It now runs 17" all round road wheels, all RL7s.

I paid £280 for a full refurb and powder coat at the wheel specialist..... That was for tyre removal, refurb and coat, tyre refit, and balance
If you can get them to Birmingham, there are many firms who refurb wheels starting at £20 each. Here's one:
http://www.citypowdercoating.co.uk
and another:

Even with a change of colour and taking them with the tyres on, you should get change from £200.
There's a Groupon voucher for a firm in the Jewellery Quarter doing them for £25 per wheel including tyre removal I think (?). Big mark up for any colour but silver. There's been a few hiccups with some Groupon offers though:

I've just had my wheels refurbed by Platinum in Swindon who are supposed to be the best in my area. £250 and a choice of different colour powdercoats.
That price was loose wheels but they removed and refitted the tyres.
I have never had wheels refurbed before but I read a lot of horror stories that amounted to wheels just being painted on the face rather than full on chemical dipping/blasting and new powdercoat.
I think this is a case of you get what you pay for.
Best of luck but I found the local PH forum rather than the TVR forum most assistance for local refurbishers.

Nothing wrong with painting wheels if it done right ,there are limited colours with powder coating and the finish is never has good .That price was loose wheels but they removed and refitted the tyres.

My main point, not put very well, is that some companies just make the front of the wheel look pretty but not doing a thorough job yet charge a similar price. New wheels are not powder coated !

I have two sets of pro race, one 16 and 17 the other set 17" The new glitter silver ones are painted the same colour at the back ,they look very dirty and hard to clean ,the old set are painted black so far better .My advice would be to have the back of the wheel painted black when they are refurbished .
I might be selling the 16" 17" set which have nearly new tyres .

Have you still got your 16" fronts? I'm running RL7s in 17" all round but would like to try 16" on the front. This is with 16/17" wheels when I bought the car. It now runs 17" all round road wheels, all RL7s.
