I'm hung like a mouse....
See this is exactly what I'm talking about.I'd managed to completely ignore these pictures, which Quinny has obviously posted as a visual means of giving the finger to my original post.
I have now used up 23 minutes of my very busy day staring at them, and another 3 minutes scribbling this post.
And now another 4 minutes deciding if replying isn't just lowering myself to the standard of others.
And another minute typing this last bit.
FFS that's over half an hour.

How does the phone know your mpg ?
The fuel gauge and the speedo are connected to the GM ECU.....the ECU is connected to the ipad by Bluetooth....Every time I put petrol in, the GM ECU calculates the number of litres used, and the distance travelled.
The ECU then wirelessly sends the info to the ipad, and the app converts litres and KM's to MPG's........later I scan in the receipt and it also works out the cost..... Clever stuff....
Doesn't your emerald have such a simple feature to use??? Or is it more like a carburettor??

still don`t get it ! so you are relying on the speedo ,how accurate is the petrol gauge .. Every time I put petrol in, the GM ECU calculates the number of litres used, and the distance travelled.

Pictures please of the exhaust ,I wonder why people have not ditched the Y piece and gone down that route . There is now space for a larger engine .

You could maybe fit a 30'3 straight 8 in there

No it doesn't rely on the speedo or the fuel gauge..... It uses gps to send the signal from the ECU up to a satelite and back down to the ipad.... The ipad then uses google maps to calculate the mileage....Pictures please of the exhaust ,I wonder why people have not ditched the Y piece and gone down that route . You have to program the ECU with the tank capacity, and then fill it up..... Once that's been done, the ECU, knows how much fuel you've used on every trip..
Then you have to scan in the receipt from the garage so it knows how much you put in... It's only working on averages, so it's only accurate to 15 decimal places.... But close enough..
It's quite easy to confuse it though.... All you have to do is fill a jerry can instead of the tank...

Is that via the ODB2 port Qunny?
Don't be silly Matt..... Its wireless...OBD is for all that old fashioned emerald kit
Last week I forgot where I'd parked the car, so I used my iPhone to ring the ECU.... And got a text message back with the map coordinates of the car park....... That saved the day I can tell you

I can see Chilli building a completely stupid Chimaera at some point. He's got no Happy Police aka wife to curtail his spending. Come on Chilli, you obviously want to and a nice TVS 2300 supercharged LS is the way forward!
I'm thinking Sportmotive Evo chassis and 600 BHP It's the only way forwardGassing Station | Chimaera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
