I'm thinking the same, dam nice chassis, what's the availability like these days?
Not sure.... But I was eyeing one up at SM yesterday, and when you get into the detail, and thought that's gone into the design and manufacture, it really does look like the ultimate upgrade....smile

Not sure I'm allowed to post pics of my engine on this threadbiggrin

I'll do some for you tomorrow and post em up...... It's all been changed since I bought it, I'm now using the sportmotive alternator bracket, and ps mounting plate....

As for the pump, its a ZF, from a landrover I think.... I'll ask Ian when I go over to get it fitted next week...

Alex.... I run a PS coolersmile

Change the flexi hoses! The hot swarf gets embedded then runs through the rack at a later date. I've put a magnefine filter in the return line just to be safe.

Dunno what makes you think that Quinny whistle

Keep the pictures coming mate biggrin

I have been interested in the Evo chassis, Ian did some first class work on beastie around this time last year, and picked me up from the station when I collected her.....

I was going to bump the last chassis thread, but having just re-read it it's full of some plumber bloke banging on about some other company and the length of wishbones wink

Oh go on then....smile

Ok these show the new layout.... Using sportmotive front mounting plate...

On the old system as you looked at the engine from the front the PS pump was on the left, the PS reservoir, in the middle, and the alternator and tensioner on the right...... The header tank is also mounted in front of the alternator...

Old layout...

The new layout is different in that it now has PS reservoir on the left, tensioner on the left, PS pump in the middle, and alternator still on the right....
Also now has a wing mounted header tank, and under the inlet pipe is a small expansion tank..

New layout

Well spotted..... It's also connected to the ECU.... It can detect voltage, so when the engine is under load, the sprag clutch engages, and alters the voltage to suit.....so when you're coasting down a hill it disengages, and improves MPG

It also makes sure that the fridge in the boot stays nice and cold
