Flicking through my copy of EVO and ooh goody a bit about TVR. Racing Green say the Cerb is the entry level TVR as anything before that are a bit dodgy ?." the only more affordable model is a wedge!! you forgot to mention the most popular selling model..*cough* Chimaera... and the S... bit disappointing.

Yes, probably a typo but still ignored the the entire "S" range. The boys in the S forum won't be happy!

The article says the 400 V8. Not a Cerb then.

I think it's meant to say Chim. Fault with the article. Not Racing Green.

Don't think so....

If he meant Chimaera instead of Cerbera then that's typical poor journalism and rubbish main dealer sales guy who has no idea what he's selling and doesn't care attitude. If not and I doubt it is a mistake then missing the two cars that really 'made' the Peter Wheeler TVR era is unforgivable. The Griffith started it all off followed by the Chimaera, and what about the M's as well as the S?

Big dealers don't like the earlier cars (pre Speed 6) as they can't make money from selling or servicing them, he more or less says that in the last line of teh article.

Are you sure? Fernhurst rarely do any post RV8 cars and, let's face it, they don't seem to be doing too badly!

They're an exception on the RV8s. The majority of their stock is low mileage high price Griffiths and Chimaeras, the majority of which I understand goes abroad. So they specialise in that sense but they're not that interested in higher mileage lower priced cars and earlier models which was what I meant.

Agree with comments on poor journalism... Employing someone who can read English to proof read before publishing is usually a good idea too..

Short description of the Chim has this in it..

'In 1993 the TVR developed 5.0 litre with 340 hp became standard for the TVR Chimaera and latterly this became available for the TVR Chimaera but did not become standard fitment.'

Mind you, RG aren't the only ones guilty of occasionally writing nonsense whistle
