Torque counts, as does weight!!!

554 Ft/Lbs in a 1100kg Chimaera is 503 Ft/Lbs per ton eek... yikes

For comparison an 8 litre quad turbocharged W16 Bugatti Veyron makes 488 Ft/Lbs per ton, because its a big fat bloater wink

Mr macdeb, have you considered getting help?
hehe er, thanks thumbup
Though it was weighed last year at 1140kg [with half tank of fuel] hehe
Can't stop grinning.
[still work to be done frown ]

A Chimaera with a similar fuel load will always be under 1100kg.
Sadly not. I compete in the TVRCC Speed Championship, as part of which we all get our cars weighed at MIRA each year. IIRC, no Chimaera has ever been under 1100kg. Mine's 1150kg.

Full geo and corner weighting last year, with me in it and three quarters of a tank we were 1164kg...

I'm around 92kg.. The 500 engines are obviously lighter coz the eight holes in the block are bigger whistle

I stuck my Griff on a local weigh-bridge, just to get an idea for when I bought my trailer.... Fuel tank was brimmed full and it came in at 1100kg.... Not bad for an LS with a 6 speed boxsmile

Holes are the same size, crank is longer though, so more weight? smile

Mine was 1050 on the Dutch road authorities' weigh bridge and 1043,5 kg on Intrax' scales with 40% of a full tank, an air compressor with tyre goo, a toolbag full of kit and an amplifier plus subwoofer (free air mounted) Just replacing the OE Bilsteins with Intrax' 1K2 Black Titan units took another 4.5 kg off that figure - then came the new manifolds with decat pipes instead of the dustbin in front of the engine, lighter starter motor (-4.1 kg), lighter battery (-3 kg)...

No cross bolting though, might help offset longer crank rolleyes
