Quick thank you to David Gerald, new adapter arrived and fitted yesterday. Back and running again.
BUT! Before with the old sender the oil pressure was around the 40mark, doing the usual dropping on tickover rising on higher revs. Only reason I changed was every now and again it flew up to the max, usually at lower revs, which I took to be a faulty sender.
With the new sender it sits at nearer 55 and drops slightly on revs....
Might put the old one back....

Put the old one back,,,,,now have a leak from the union...BUT!
