Has anyone ever fitted 16" imolas all round? I am getting parts together to do the brembo 324mm disc conversion and wondered about getting a pair of rear wheels to go on the front to clear the new brakes

So if any has fitted them to the front, were there any issues and have you got any pics??
Thanks in advance
Paul

I fitted 16" Estorils all round so that I could fit the 324mm discs and Brembo Calipers.

You'll need 10mm spacers but other than that, no issues smile

I think there are opinions around as to whether they will fit under 16 inch wheels. I have 324mm discs with Bremsport calipers under 17 inch wheels.....but have to admit that I was told I would need 17 inch wheels, so got some., never tried 16 inch. My calipers look fairly slimline to me. Shall I check the clearance for you tomorrow?

You could try a 16 inch wheel on my car if you like to test it. I am 40 miles from you and also have some 5mm spacers to hand to get the offset about right. I believe you need 8 mm spacers to use rear Imolas accurately on the front. Either way, over 6mm you will need longer studs.

I have 16" Imolas all round with 300mm discs & WMS 4 pot calipers up front. No clearance issue dependent on which tyre size / profile is used. Toyo T1-R 225/40/16 clears no problem, 225/45/16 fouls a little on full lock but a 5mm wheel spacer would irradicate this.

Sorry. I thought the question was whether the wheels would clear the calipers, not whether the tyres would clear the wheel arches.

16 all round here too, no spacers, had to fit rack stops as on hard lock it was just catching suspension.

You could do with 5-7mm spacers to get the track right... will better your cornering abilities smile

Have fitted the brakes but unfortunately the calipers just catch the wheel frown. But i think with a thin spacer and a lower profile tyre( like in Richards post above ) they will be ok. I do like the look of the 16" on the front as it seems to fill the arch better

I have put the feelers out for some 17s but would like to make the 16s work somehow for a better ride

Anyone got a pair of 16" imolas for sale smile

I know you've found a set of new wheels to use but I've still got a set of imolas sitting here that I would've sold if I wasn't so lazy paperbag £100 for the pair of 16" if someone wants to collect them from J30 of the M25, £150 for the full set.
