Went to have a go with them yesterday. This is them with my Peugeot 205:

I just used the handbrake, and the front wheels moved a little, that was what I was expecting.

But yes, the ramps are heavy, but I suspect that's a necessity, due to their useful width and sturdiness. Didn't need to bleed them, and have disconnected them from the pump now that the mechanical safety latch is on. Been fine since. Useful for sorting out the rear brake lines (which entails the fuel tank to be dropped).

I'd say pretty good, especially for the price, as I don't have a garage to consider something like a lift.

Only concern is that the ramps need fully extending to engage the mechanical safety thingummys, which I fear may lift a Lotus Elise too high (the reason I bought these ramps). Will have to see.

Sorry to bring the post up from the dead but I was one of those that did purchase these ramps on this group buy and now have them in my possession.

I haven't used them but they are more substantial that I expected and I don't really have anywhere to store them. I'm therefore going to offer them up for sale (unused) for the price I paid for them - £200.

Collection evenings or weekends from Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

Please feel fee to PM me if interested.

Thanks

Karl.

Just wanted to thank Peter publicly for organising this group buy.

I've now had the front of the Sagaris up on the ramps. I had to buy a couple of 1.5m scaffold planks to get onto the ramps but then just went up with just a couple of mm clearance at the back when fully raised.

The ramps themselves are well made but heavy. Do the job well though.

Hi All,

I am pleased with my ramps as listed here, does anyone else experience fluid leak from the foot pump ? I can't find the source of the leak but if I leave it for 3 weeks or so the pump leaves a puddle.

Great product part from the leak.

If any one can advise if they have had a similar problem or what the fix is I would be grateful.

Many thanks

When connecting and disconnecting the flexi hoses to the pump there is an occasional drip of oil - unavoidable I would imagine when breaking / making hydraulic connections. Other than that no leaks at all. Maybe give your local hydraulic engineer outfit a call to advise on your leak - it can only be seals I would imagine.

For the first few times when using the ramps they would go up cock-eyed but bleeding the pump (repeatedly) sorted that out.

They are now in pretty frequent use by myself or the two sons. IMHO they're the best solution for anybody that hasn't the room for a two or four poster. Great bit of kit - you also get a free work-out when shifting the beggars!

Hi, agree with getting a work out when moving them.

Yes I get a bit of leakage when connecting the connectors but it is not this that I am referring too, when I leave the pump for a period of time I get floods of fluid leak. I just can't identify the source and wondered if anyone else had a similar experience and could share the fix.

Cheers

Hi guys,

My foot pump still leaks and I can't identify where it's leaking from as it is welded up.

However my pair of ramps are perfect, would anyone be interested to buy the 2 ramps to make a set of 4?

If you are interested in buying them, please send me a PM.

Cheers Mr Nordic

Nice idea and tempting but not sure how easy it would actually be to get the ramps under all four wheels and pointing the same way (think how the mechanism works)...

It can be done.....I have a pair and also borrowed a set last year when I did my chassis clean up.
Also nice and safe as they have a locking mechanism on each ramp.

Anything can be done given enough time and perseverance... no doubt well worth it for a job like a body lift but not exactly a drive on solution (I have one set and did nearly bite as the ramps are great bits of kit!) smile

Has anyone managed to get a Sagaris on these ramps? i.e ramp angle issue and also does the wheel stop hit the splitters?

I fancy a set as well.
Another group buy?

How high do they lift?
