In this months Sprint is an article about sombody's Chimaera that they have modified cosmetically to achieve their dream car.

The article goes into detail about much of the conversion - but it dodn't mention the thing that actually interested me most, as the owner appeared to have done something that I have been thinking about myself.

I could be wrong, but if you look at the roofline above the rear screen, you'll notice that the rear pram hood doesn't appear to have the "angle" created by the rear edge of the fibreglass hoop as the material bends down - it appears to have been shaved slightly to give a more rounded curve more like the Tamora.

I have been thinking about shaving the rear edge of the hoop to give a similar effect - but just wondered if the owner is on here (or anybody knows him) - could he give any details about how this was achieved, as it looks utterly professional, giving a curved silhouette much more like the Cerbera, much more in keeping with the curves of the body...

Is the owner on Pistonheads..?

Thanks,

Dom

"Echidna" ..... was I the only who was waiting to get to the bit where he'd fitted some mental engine to make it "the Mother of all Monsters" ?

Personally, I don't like the car at all. I think the BMW side vents look hideous, the square edge on them is totally at odds with the curve of the door.
How it got on the front cover of sprint is beyond me. It shows how badly off they are for content.

lf he removes the spoiler and sprays the Z3 inserts to body colour, and removes the chavy exhausts , l think it would pass.

The roof it self looks lovely made though, I like that shape.
I guess he could sell more of them if they look as I think in the picture (roof)

wonder if he got more pics and details about how it locks and if its leak free etc etc.
