Just got back from Central after having their Exhaust Modification done biggrin

When he took it off the ramp and started it up it was like turning the clock back when I was young boy at Christmas.

Big smile and a giggle came from me and I could see smiles of satisfaction from Andy and think it was Jake who did the work.

Driving off and my journey home just got better and better,I couldn't help but smile and giggle to myself.

Also nice that when hitting the motorway and at 70-75mph feathering the throttle it's not much louder than before. When revving up out of gear it's crackling and popping and the sound is just what I was after... Well happy laugh

Best value for money I have spent in a long time.. Love it laugh

I also like my standard sound but when I go to events like TITT I feel i'm missing out on something.

This video has 313 views and i think i account to a hundred of them... Always just makes me smile no matter how many times i watch it.. It's only short but best bit is from 1.07 (the start of it has quite a bit of wind noise)

Love it and hence I've decided to call Central tomorrow.

Could you post up a video of the sound? I am looking for a video of a Chim with cats still in but either full or half sleeved exhaust.

Cheers,

Nice. I like the sound my Chim has at the moment and I certainly don't wan to go very loud (my Cerbera does that job). I was just looking to give the exhaust note a little more edge/rawness about it.

I think cats in and sleeved sounds nice from what I have heard so far.

Here's one of mine being driven with a few beans.
It's a standard 450 that's sleeved.

Oh man, I so wish I'd not listened to those vids, haven't driven my car for a few weeks, I'm itching to get her out, they all sound good, I went back to standard sound and even enjoyed that. I reckon pre cats out,Catted Y ( or Clive's Y) and half sleeved pipes, rocks but put simply any Tvr with any exhaust hits a nerve that most cars dream of.

I ran with the pre cats out and a Clive F Y piece with the standard exhaust and thought the sound was ok, I then changed the exhaust for the ACT Cherry Bomb and the difference is very noticeable, louder, yes but the tone is very different, more bass without the agricultural sound.
Looks fantastic too, just a shame you can't see it under normal use
I have exactly the same setup on mine. Nice deep sound without sounding too agricultural.

This is what it sounds like inside the car:

Replace the mounting rubbers with new, particularly the ones on the under tray, also wrap the tails in old rags or towels to prevent damage while your fitting it, other than that, it's pretty straightforward smile

Much easier to fit with the car on a 4 post or two post ramp and someone holding the tail pipes and waggling them on your command. Before my TVR guy got an apprentice I used to do that job almost every time I visited.... quite fun really hehe

Finally got round to fitting my ACT exhaust over the weekend, and im very happy, it now has a deeper throatier burble and sounds sweet all through the rev range, i dont think i would go louder than this. This turns heads, but isnt annoying when driving for long periods smile I'm guessing my cats are still in, cause it passes the mot ok..
