Coolant pipe and hose
Discussion
Replaced squeally water pump today. Torqued up the housing nuts
to what it says in the book. Stood back to admire my handiwork.
Gave myself a pat on the back. I was on the home straight -or so I thought.
Filled up with coolant then noticed a leak.
I'm now struggling to get a good seal where the water pump hose joins
the metal t-piece. I'm using a sparkly new jubilee clip but it makes
no difference. This t-piece has seen better days to be honest. I'd
happily replace it but I suspect it's unique to the car.
Anyone got any good ideas about getting a good join?
Thanks chaps

Just an observation but Are you sure you have used the right hoses for each fitting - the angles do not look right to me and there should be no need for a ratchet strap to pull it on. Iirc some of these hoses are tapered with different diameters at each end and have a one way fit only.
